Jim Parsons as KITT? I can't see it. My pick would hafta be Kelsey Grammer. He could pull off the classy,
intelligent, yet snarky personality. William Daniels as Wilton Knight, that's do-able, in that
cool nostalgic sense. Alan Rickman as Devon, not so sure. Might try Michael Caine. Paul Walker as
Michael Knight, that's very do-able. Tom Welling could be another good prospect. Brandon Routh is also a good
possibilty. Olivia Wilde could pull off Bonnie, and Megan Fox as Tanya Walker, that might work.

William Daniels as K.I.T.T. Peter Cullen reprised the role of Optimus Prime in the Transformers films as well as K.A.R.R. (whatever the hell version of him it became) in the 2008 Knight Rider and it worked out fine (in terms of the voice, at least). And it's certainly much better than the all too typical cheesy cameo appearance.

William Daniels said he's open to the possibility in his latest interview. Glen Larson has once said he would try to get William Daniels back "any way that he can." It's a no-brainer, plain and simple. Would you really want anybody else but him playing the role anyway?

The corporate incompetence Mr. Larson has had to deal with and is dealing with is really hard to excuse. I admire him for his perseverance and dedication.

It depends on the amount of Post Production work that would be required after the principal shooting was completed. Look at Avatar...Live action photography began in October 2007 at Stone Street Studios in Wellington, New Zealand, and was scheduled to last 31 days..and it was released on December 10, 2009....so over 2 years of post production. Not saying that KR would be anywhere near that long...

I think we need to clarify what "pre-production" means. Certainly anything that happens before the production could be considered pre-production. But in the life cycle of a motion picture, these terms have very specific meaning.

"Production" means cameras are rolling. Directors are calling "Action!", actors are speaking their lines and cars are chasing down the highway.

In "Pre-production", there is a ton of work being done on the movie. Sets are being built. Costumes are being created. Props (such as sleek customized cars) are being painted shiny black. The cast might not be finalized, but there is a pretty short list of potential actors. Knight Rider is not in this phase.

While progress may be being made with the Knight Rider motion picture, we need to be patient a little longer.

Like the cast... except for Bonnie and the car... I agree with Tobie for Olivia Wilde as Bonnie... and I think that the old Trans-Am should be brought back... but those are just my opinions...

Why don't we get all the fans around the world to chip in and we'll buy the rights and make the movie ourselves?

I just think with everyone we have in the entire world who are fans, about 3/4 of them bitch about the movie not being out yet. A wise man once told me "If you don't like something, change it". Hell we got enough people to start our own damn film company

I think, the most importend part is KITT`s front. It should look a little futuristic.

This was the first version with the original headlights.

But I didn`t like it....it`s not futuristic enough.

So I made a second version.....

I think so should it look like...........

I`m loving those headlights! :good:

Nice, a bit too inside the box for my tastes - too much silver takes away the sleek silhouette of KITT. How about putting on a '82 style TA spoiler on the back but made to compliment the shape of the rear like Tobie had on his model?

Does the scanner actually work?

Don`t worry, I will made a special "d80" lookalike spoiler for it. :)

And the scanner actually don`t work, I made only the scanner opening and the red lense yet.
Before I can fit the led`s, the front and headlights must be done.

The front isn`t painted yet. The front mask will be painted completly in black, even the headlights will be tinted.

For the headlights, I`ve got a special "light up" effect idea. It will look like, KITT can slowly open his eyes. :D :D

The Corvette would be perfect as KITT, or so I thought.

The idea using the new Camaro as KITT grew on me. I just wish the Camaro came with T-Tops. But, with movie magic and $$$ I believe the Camaro would be perfect as KITT. I saw somewhere on this site that someone modified the new Camaro placing what worked on the original KITT on the new Camaro. That photo won me over and for the first time I can honestly say,"That is KITT." Take a glimpse of that photo and you saw KITT not a Camaro. Slap a front nose, make it as a T-Top, I agree with Victor about the rear spoiler. That brings me to another topic.

Victor Sir,

I look forward when you post your comments on this site. You are the insider to the world of Knight Rider. When I became a member to this site, I was convince that you were Glen Larson himself and you used Victor Kros as an alias, lol. You know so much on what makes a movie work, production, and the direction on where this new Knight Rider is heading. You give us updates on what is happening and little hints. Discussing about the Camaro makes me wonder if this is the car strongly being considered as KITT- or whatever Mr. Larson will call this new KITT.

Not all of us will agree 100% on what car model should be used. If anyone finds that photo of a Camaro as KITT, I believe that most of you would agree with me that the Camaro should be use. KITT should be an American brand car-EXCEPT MUSTANG!!!! Top two are Corvette and Camaro. Sadly Pontiac is no longer with us but GM is and those two are in the GM family. The debate should be on those two and nothing else, in my opinion.

One man can make a difference is Knight Rider's motto. That motto stuck with me for the rest of my life. I am a State Trooper nine years and counting. I have a KITT replica sitting inside my garage reminding me that I am that man making a difference. All be safe.

The reference to KITT as a Camaro I was stating earlier is in KITT is back 2009/2010.
