oh my god, *jawdrop* this is just beautiful. You ROCK!!

Anyway, here's the deal.

I was planning on converting one or more of tobies KITT models for GTA:SA to GTA IV. Now that I've seen your work i was wondering about your KITT. I didn't read the whole thread so I don't know the polycount. I don't even know GTA IV's limitations there. But I am willing to give it a try, since the tools are out.

So my questions: Can you export this model to z3d format? Whats the current polycount? Any things I need to know?

Anyway, I'm going to contact tobie, too. Just in case. Thanks a huge bunch in advance.

Hey Hoffman... Maya is the name of the software used to make the 3d model. Kind of a Photoshop, but for 3d animation.

Regarding the export to GTA. The polycount is super high. I am making this to do an animation with it and rendering time is not an issue, so i am not paying attention to it. Also.... unfortunately, because this is going on my demo reel, i am not sharing the raw files. Also.... GTA already has some great models. Why fix it if it aint broken.. lolol

Sorry about not sharing the model. You know how life is. =) It taking me a loooong time to do this model. Also if you check, online there are people selling it. I need money.. hahhaa, so if I give this away, It wont be for free. Please people, dont hate me =) Im still a nice guy! lol :good:

By the way... thanks for the jawdrop.. hahaha.

no problem man

How much do you want? Just kidding. i would have messed it up anyway.

Are we gonna see that animation? I hope you do some cool stuff (turbo boost!!).

Anyway, about GTA: Don't get me wrong, I do like the cars and they DID a good job. I've beat the game twice, now i just wanna take some uber cool cars that I could never afford and ride them around town. (it's not fixing, it's enhancing)

I say it again, you are doing incredible work!

Hi SeriousMoh,

I’m afraid that we’ve had to rescind the option of unlimited editing due to one of our members abusing this feature in the past by removing large amounts of incriminating evidence following volatile exchanges.

thanks man! regarding your question. i took 4 years for a bachelors in computer animation... lol. I cant teach over internet, and unfortunately Maya is a very complex software pkg to learn. once u know it it becomes easier. I strongly suggest picking up a book at barnes and nobles and starting from scratch. Im sorry man.... also.... my schedule between work and girlfriend time its full... lol. Peace!
im settle at new home. mow i just gotta get a compuetr desk (my pc is in the floor now!) i cant wait to get backt to kitt

umm, did you change the nose. It seems thicker now, when you see , more like the model KITTs you can buy... or is it just the reflections playing a trick on me? and did you put a chrome effect on the rims?

anyway, flawless! looking forward to seeing him with the roofs :)

Thank you people for the kind comments. I'll keep posting the progress! =)
By the way Serious..... I havent touched the nose. I did use a 25 mm camera which skews the picture a little in exchange for a more dramatic perspective. (closer things seem closer and further things, further.)

Thanks again ! :good:

This is really excellent work with polygons. I remember studying both alias and maya, and we didn't touch cars in poly, only NURBS (for auto design NURBS are the general method for surfacing). Great job, a very smart model :good: hope it goes well to the finish
