KR's fate will be decided the week of April 1st 2009 since that's when NBC will announce the fall slate. Stay tuned...

I wouldnt believe what WikiPedia says all of the time............Anyone could of wrote it. I heard GST was going back to Vegas just to do a 2 hour Finale or something like that.

That report has link to: http://blog.zap2it.com/korbitv/2009/02/ ... inale.html

But it doesn't say, that KR is cancelled, it says, that GST is free from KR.

Vegas Revisted?: Rumors of a solid Las Vegas finale have been swirling since last Spring when NBC canceled the show without giving producers time to write a proper farewell. With all the reader questions regarding this rumor, I thought it best to investigate. My findings? It's a definite maybe. NBC insiders say nothing's been decided, but with Knight Rider kaput, executive producer Gary Scott Thompson is now free to potentially write said finale. Plus, he's apparently got a few friends/fans at the network, so yeah, this could happen.

I removed that wrong information from there.

EDIT: I didn't saw word "kaput", but it's not official word for that kind of news. It could mean both the end of the series and the end of the season. If KR would be cancelled, it would have it's own report.

Yes he did mention at Comiccom that he wanted to wrap Vegas up, as due to the writters strike he had never had chance to before.

So that's what I would exspect it to be..

If he has friends at NBC, why would they let him do a finale for Vegas, and not give him another season of Knight Rider. Despite the fact that he butchered Knight Rider from the beginning, he has pretty much righted the ship since, so if he has friends, why wouldn't they give a another crack at Knight Rider, unless HE has no interest in it.

Wikipedia is about as reliable as IMDB. Any idiot can post anything on there without the facts to back it up.

I think they are doing this, On Knight Rider gets done with season 1 GST will have time to do a series finale for Las Vegas, I think it would not take long for GST to get that series finale done for Las Vegas, Then when that gets done Knight Rider will probally start fliming there next season episodes.

I think that is what they meant when they mention that GST will be free from Knight Rider.

Yeah season NOT series. So that would indicate that there's still hope for a second season.

They call a season a series in other countries. I know they do in the U.K.

Season meaning just this series. Which has 17 episodes. Hopefully there will be a season 2

I think it shows how little attention is being paid to the entry, more popular entries would have that info removed quickly as blog posts aren't considered valid sources, or at least they weren't not that long ago.

Nelson apparently doesn't even know the source of the advertisement. But from the sound of things it isn't NBC...

Its amusing how often statements get taken out of context, I'm inclined to go with NBC. Who in their right mind takes Wiki as gospel? :?

I'm normally inclined to agree with this statement. But it doesn't take a rocket scientist with a PhD from Harvard to conclude that KR is probably not getting renewed, in fact I'd bet money on it not coming back. Official word when the retooling/reboot/whatever you want to call it was done was that a big boost in ratings was needed to secure a renewal. Well its been quite a few episodes since and there has been no big boost in ratings. So its fate is sealed at this point and will be confirmed in less than a month. Don't need wiki to figure that out.

no, it's called pessimism. optimists are ones that are hoping for a season 2. realism is you really don't know what's going to happen.
