I thought we could have a little fun with a new game. The "Locations" thread is so much fun that I wanted to throw this out there....a game I call "Spot the Comtron Truck".

In the Pilot, there were numerous scenes that showed Comtron trucks...the trailers were typically white with red/orange stripes while the cabs were red with red/orange stripes. See example below:



After the Pilot, the Comtron trucks were used for the Knight Rider crew to haul filming equipment, cars, etc. On occasion, you can spot these ex-Comtron crew trailers in other episodes. I'll start you guys off with a few:

"Knight Moves" - the red cab:



"Soul Survivor" - hard to see, but I believe they are the trucks on the far right:



"Mouth of the Snake":


"Custom KITT":


"KITT the Cat":

So was the Comtron truck seen in all 4 seasons or just the first 2?

I can confirm its use at least through season three's "The Ice Bandits".

Season 4-Knight Racer-

I would say about 10 minutes into the show.
Micheal and KITT run a lap of the race course to prove that Micheal can drive the race car.
At the completion of the lap, he pulls in front of the crowd of rejoicing time keepers...
In the background just to the left of the shack with the DieHard sign, you can see the distinct stripes of the Comtron Truck.

Another minute or two later, the truck is more visible with the sign "Thomas Racing" hung like a flag on its side.

If you want to post the pics for others, I do not mind.

Also, I found this one in "Voo Doo Knight", which proves they used those trucks during the entire series!

Given the frequent appearance of the truck, I guess it might be part of the filming fleet.
It could have been used to transport filming equipment, sets, and etc.

The Comtron Truck is a good idea to look for 'meta'-information beyond single episodes.
During the search for filming locations, I learned that there were only a 'finite set' of
locations, roads, and etc. in KR. The same location usually appeared multiple times with
slightly different angles.

Now, how about the Comtron building itself ? Maybe it reappeared in other episodes.

Anyone see the stuntman in the last picture?

I passed by the pic so fast I thought it was Micheal... Who is he?

Stunt double perhaps?
Is that blur RC3?

It's a conspiracy!

I found one in KITT VS KARR when the guy who finds KARR on the beach drives and a truck cuts in front of him, can anyone post that pic up?

Season 4- same disc as Knight Racer, next episode-Knight Behind Bars

About 5 minutes in--Micheal calls KITT to assist him after KITT announces the girl to be a blonde. As KITT pulls into the front of the Maximillian Hotel, you can see the Comtron truck in the distant background.

30 seconds later, as Micheal and KITT are pulling out of the hotel to chase the grey (looks like) Chrysler, you can see two Comtron trucks in the parking lot across the street, just beyond the stop sign.

*Note- Is that the same rv? Is it Hasselhoff's RV?

Regarding "KITT vs KARR" - I don't think that's a Comtron truck...take a closer look at the colors:

Season 4- same disc next episode-Knight Song (really liked this episode )
*Sorry to be so sequential in my sightings. I can only watch my KR dvd's on my lunch at work during my work week.*

About 20-25 minutes into the episode, KITT and Charlie are first introduced on their way to the realty office. Directly following "Nice to meet you Mr. KITT." They show the Eastside Realty window and then the whole block shot.
At the end of the block, you will see a familiar delivery truck bearing the Comtron colors...
I ended up having to stop there, ran out of lunch time.

Tomarrow there will be new sighting, I hope...That's when I can get a chance to watch Knight Rider again. I really like this game...

Was watching Inside Out from season 1 tonight and there it was! We were sitting there on the sofa and all of a sudden I blurt out "there's a Comtron truck!" and my husband's like, wha...??

But this was an easier one to spot compared to some of the ones you guys have found already. This is fun, we're going to have a collection here, lol.

Hey Joe I have another one...(maybe)

Season 4- same disc as before- side 2 -Killer K.I.T.T.

This one was really hard to see...About 5 minutes in-
Micheal is on foot chasing the bad guys who had fired their massive weapon at him and KITT; just after the scene with the Bonnie fake changing KITT's CPU. The bad guys jump a wooden railing and then Micheal quickly follows suit. If you pause it right there, wayyy off in the background you can see 2 semi-trucks with very distinct red-orange stripes and that RV again. I'm still curious who that belongs to.

It was hard to see but I think I found it.
