Scanner is from taoworm. I had the same problem with one of my dash lights as well, only lasted about three months, then started fading out. I have since replaced it, and all is well.

This section of the site was looking pretty sad, with nothing new having appeared for a while, so that is why I posted the picture.

Next pictures will be of the overhaul of the car.....hard to believe that it needs updating already, but once done, it will be even more accurate to the show....here comes the xenon ....STAY TUNED....

Slade wrote:And if the car doesnt have that option is there a way to install something like that? :)
If your car didn't come with mycolor you can install a mycolor cluster to get the feature. You will need the switch that goes above the radio too. If your car has traction control, the pigtail for the switch is most likely there. If your car doesn't have the harness for the switch you have to run three wires to the instrument cluster harness and one to the SJB per the schematics. I posted the info on a couple of mustang sites and several people have done the conversion. Just to note the cluster will need to be configured for your car by the dealer though.

Also back on topic, these KI3T replicas look awesome. Makes me want to consider the GT500 front-end again.

Team:

Sorry, I've been out of the website for a while, but had some issues that required immediate care (such as fixing the house, which by next week, it will be done, yay!) once that is done, I look forward to returning to the KR Project and see the final end result. I am deploying soon to Korea, so I will be buying the remaining parts and my father will take care of the installation. By the time I return to the staets, I hope to see the Shadow KARR finally completed. Stay tuned......

A lot of peoole just put the bulb out and drive without any airbag
is too dangerous to drive without all the air bags, so i prefer maybe to disconnect only the driver side and to keep on the passenger, thanks

You can not do that if you disconnect one airbag all airbag will be disconnected as the same time they'r functionning all together .The resistance will allow you to use all airbag except the driver side . It's not dangerous to drive without airbag, it's just illegal in some case an airbag can kill you, and after a few year it's won't deploy anymore and you'll need to change it

I'm driving my KI3T without the airbag, and I'm fine with it.

If you put the resistor in place of the airbag, then the rest should work.

except that the hood is missing the 'hood lock discs' and the front bumper 'grille' is missing the small round silver ring inserts (or whatever they are) it looks pretty good. considering the OEM Shelby stuff you cannot buy unless you have a GT500 VIN number to get it and are VERY $$$ this looks the way to go. I did not see if it came with the V6 model's rear wing (the one that is on the KITT version of the GT500KR or not).

EDIT: it comes with a GT500 rear wing but the GT500KR same as KITT had:

Image

as you see it is more 'flat' and has wide deep groove looking patterns on it. the one in the 'auction' is a standard GT500 wing that is more of a 'duck tail' and sweeps up at a angle, the GT500KR is not. so you would need the wing in that picture to do a proper KITT mustang ;)

Ok I just saw a really old episode of Topgear and they showed the Mustang and the mycolor option,so if Im to understand correctly you can change the colors with the buttons on the steering wheel?

no i think its a knob and or switch on the dash. the only controls on the wheel is for the cruise, and audio controls for the radio (if so equipped).

you have to use the setup button on the center dash to switch to the mycolor option then with the button reset you can switch to whatever color you want ,the buttons ares located to the left of the power plug outlet

Ok thanks guys, the way Richard Hammond showed it,it looked like it was on the steering wheel,so I got confused.

Is the Mycolor option described in the manual for the car?

Of course any function of the car or any option is always described in the manual for any brand of car
