Knight Rider Theme cover

Post by bzavala » Sat Oct 23, 2004 1:10 am

A friend of mine did this cover of the KR Theme a few days ago, and I think it's great. That guitar gives it a special touch ;)

Right click and Save as:

Knigh Rider Theme Cover

Thought I might share this with you.

haha! That's sweet. You never hear rock ones, and rock is a LOT better than rap. If they make a Knight Rider movie, you're friend should have them use that at some point in the movie.
Michael: "KITT! Where are ya?!"
K.I.T.T.: "I'm in your parking space, Michael, where else would I be?"

I've heard a rock one before by someone known as Papa Wheelie but this one is MUCH better than the Papa Wheelie version. :)

Love the guitar work!

Excellent remix! In fact, it was so good, I just had to have a go at making a video out of it!

Rather than selecting random KR clips from my many videotapes of the show, I've dubbed
your mate's remix over the Knight Rider season 4 opening title sequence. I had to speed
the tempo up slightly (about 5%) so that it runs in perfect sync with the video. The KR
title sequence runs for 1min 12secs, but your mate's remix runs for 1min 18secs.

Here are the results of my labours, all freshly encoded in three digital flavours!

MPEG/VCD (12,419KB) - Windows Media (5,051KB) - Real Media (3,993KB)
(The frame rate on these videoclips isn't really quite as good as I'd have liked
it to be, but it's the best I could do, with the freebie software at my disposal!
I s'pose someone will be along soon with a version done with Final Cut Pro!)

And here's an MP3 (1,138KB) of the slightly faster version of the remix.

To download the files, right click and select "Save Link/Target As . . ."

Enjoy!

Nice job DJGM! :)

I am not good at making MPEGs but I probably would make an AVI in Anmiation Shop and then piece it together in VirtualDub (which is free and quite good!). But I don't get time to do that even though I'd love to. One of these days I'd like to make mini-movies of my car. :)

I think you matched the music to the scenes pretty well. Great combination. :)

Since my reworking of the S4 title sequence has been well received, I've had a go at the S3 title sequence . . .

MPEG/VCD (12,308KB) - Windows Media (5,066KB) - Real Media (3,965KB)

As before, right click and "Save Link As . . . " to download and enjoy the fruits of my labours once again!

(If I've got time, I might have a crack at the opening titles from seasons 1 + 2 later . . . )

Cool.

Reminded me of Knight Rider meets Transformers.

I liked it.

I've done the uncompressed AVI for the S2 titles sequence . I'll encode it to mpeg, rm
and wmv formats when I get back home from work. The AVI filesize is just over 1GB !

have to say i loved the rnb/hip-hop version of the kr theme, and i don't like rock music much (don't get me started on that awful blink 182 mission:impossible thing! lol) but bzavala that was cool :D tell ur mate well done :) very impressive and i've saved it to my machine ;)

Are you referring to actually, U2's cover of Mission: Impossible? I didn't know Blink 182 did it too :D

Thanks... I sent my friend the link to this thread; I'm sure he's reading all the good comments :)

you got me thinking and I did a research.

Looks like only 2 members from U2 did the first one; limp bizkit the 2nd one...

http://songfacts.com/detail.lasso?id=960
This is a reworked version of the Mission: Impossible television theme song, which was originally composed by Lalo Schrifin. It was recorded for the 1996 movie staring Tom Cruise.
Clayton and Mullen are the bass player and drummer, respectively, of U2. It was offered to U2 as a group, but Bono and The Edge did not have time to do it.
The success of this prompted producers to have Limp Bizkit rework the theme for the movie's sequel in 2000.
