I got a Kitt Pedal car

Post by Knight Girl » Thu Oct 14, 2004 8:46 pm

My husband surprised me with a Kitt pedal car he got on e-bay. He put it together last night as it was never assembled. You would never know it was 20 years old. The scanner and voice box works great.

Here are some pics.(note. one hubcap is off in pic but we put it on.)

That's the same one my friend bought at a garage sale. He only paid $10 for it but it was worn from play over the years and the scanner and voice were disconnected. He hooked them back up and they work fine now...only on his he had the words Knight Rider written on the fenders with red trim going across the doors which were decals. But it is the same car as that one.

This one came with all the decals, I just didn't put the side ones on yet. My husband paid around $130 I think but it was like new and never assembled. The hard part is trying to get my kids not to get in it. LOL

Wow!For some reason I don't think I ever recall seeing that before.I definitely remember the Knight Rider Big Wheels. When that came out,I was already too big for it.That was when they started putting hand brakes on the Big Wheels giving kids a chance to practice controlled spin-outs.I wonder what would happen if you put that pedal car in your driveway in place of your regular car and bragged to your neighbors about your "sweet new ride"?
If only I had a nickel for every time someone cut me off on the parkway and wished for a Turbo-Boost or Micro-jammer...

LOL This will probably be the closet I get to a real Kitt for a long time. This Kitt gets to stay in doors though instead of the garage.

The neighbor kid up the street had one when I was like 5. He was a total A-hole and didn't let any one ride it, especially me, I was a big kid for my age and his mother told me I couldn't ride it cause I would break it.

I was scarred for life :) . Now I have the real deal!!!

Any one notice the hood and tail lights are modeled from a 67 Firebird. Wonder why they did that? Looks cool though!!
KITT project is on again!

Does anybody remember the Knight Rider Big wheel where u pull a lever of some sort and then to 2 rear wheels spin out resulting in u just pulling off a 180 degree turn?

I had the Knight Rider Big wheel but have no idea what ever happen to it. I was small for my age so I could still ride it at 12. LOL
