Hasselhoff To Join Harry Potter Cast?

It takes a talent of the highest order to follow in the footsteps of Robbie Coltrane, Gary Oldman, Richard Harris and Dame Maggie Smith.

Which is the only reason we can think of for the presence of 6ft 3ins David Hasselhoff on the Harry Potter movie set yesterday.

Yep, according to insiders working on fourth flick, Harry Potter And The Goblet of Fire, the perma-tanned mullet-lover could be up for a part in the wizard adventure.

The US star of Baywatch and Knight Rider has been seen mingling with cast at the Leavesden Studios in Watford, Herts.

The part of resident giant Hagrid is already taken so what could they want with Dave? It's a tall order but we reckon he's up to the job.

That would be so cool if he were in the next movie. And there are a lot of more bit players in the 4th novel -- maybe one of the teachers/coaches from one of the others schools.

i'v never seen those movies and don't really intend to, but after the huge success of kr and baywatch i'd like to think he'd manage to get more than a bit-part in harry potter!!

they are essentially kids' films so i would be a bit embarrassed for him if he wasn't able to get anything more than a bit-part. his cameo in spongebob is different that's meant to be funny.. and is lol :D

Hi there,

I'd like to give you a hint: They claim that David has been seen with the cast in England last Friday. But as far as I know, David was in Los Angeles on Friday evening. That's why I think this rumour will probably prove false.

Best regards,

John

Well, there are a lot of good character parts in HP -- teachers who only appear in a scene or two, but who are meant to be funny and over the top. So maybe 'bit-part' was the wrong term to use -- but small character part. And I don't think that would be embarrassing to him -- they're blockbuster movies and some of the adult actors are very well known.

And hot_knight, count me in as a geek, dweeb, or nerd then.

"Ah, Mr. Potter. Would you like to press Turbo Boost or shall I?

or
"Hello there young Harry. It's amazing what a little magic can do. Your transformation of Kitt into a person bares a striking resemblance to Mr Feeny!"

or finally
"Remember Harry, one wizard can make a difference."
Oh, I love it, I love it, I love it!

Seriously, I think a small character role could both boost his popularity and be very entertaining for the audience. I'm all for it.
