I love Tvr's, but I dont know if that would be a good KITT.

In my opinion, I don't want a "monster" car to portray KITT in a new film.

It should just be a standard car, something people would notice as being sporty but not going over the top.

Not sure about that kind of car for KITT either. This looks more like a spider without legs to me :?

lol, I see the resemblance in the TVR kinda sorta and I think it'd work but if I had my way they'd never change KITT, it's just too hard to picture him as somethin' other than a Trans Am... to me, at least. I think they should just go with a newer Firebird... but I doubt they will.

If KITT would become a Beetle, Martin Jantzen and KRO would take the people responsible for that as their next target.

Once an '82 Trans Am, always an '82 Trans Am.

Nice to see my thread didn't get hijacked off topic by sillyness.

Can we save the comic relief and Herbie pics for another thread?

I'd like to hear all members honest opinions about this car as a potential new KITT. If not this one, then post the car you think is worthy of being KITT, '82 Trans Ams not included.

Uhhh, Let's see..........NO! No way Uh Uh Forget it, it's just not KITT material!

Personally, I think if they were going to use a different car, It should definately be the Corvette, and no other. However, it would not be smart to change the car at all. The best thing they can do is leave it be! An '82 T/A and that's it! They've already tried using different cars and and it was a terrible failure! If the producers of this so-called New Movie were smart, they would just use the same car wth some minor 21st centery upgrades or have the movie set in the same era that the show is originally done. Doing anything else would be stupid!

I don't sound opinionated now do I? :?

Sorry if I do, as you can tell, I'm really a big fan of the F-body!!!
Anyways, KITT needs to be an American car. Remember, this is Knight Rider, not James Bond!!!

So, I agree with The Real Michael Knight!

I don't like that car for KITT.

For one thing, the styling is "too European". That's not a criticism of European design, in fact most of the best cars on the planet come from Europe. But if we assume that Knight Rider is an American Movie taking place in the U.S., then I'd want KITT to fit in with the other cars more. Some European cars like BMWs are popular enough here that they have become almost mainstream, but this car is too different from what we normally see on our streets.

Is that a 2-seater? The car looks too small to be KITT. I want KITT to look big and powerful, and I have a hard time picturing this car smashing through a concrete wall. I wouldn't want to see KITT as a Miata or a Fiero (!) either.

It may be a great car (personally I don't like the styling myself) but it doesn't look like a KITT to me.

I think the 'new KITT' should be...
A Nissan 300ZX from 1992 or a 1978/1982 Corvette.

A Jaguar XJ220 is a bit Knight 4000-ish. It would be okay.

Yeah, a I could easily picture KITT as a Corvette... 'cept I think a 2004 would be the best year for him, like someone in here said, modern but not over the top (like KIFT was)...

They said the new Knight Rider was gonna be aimed toward the general audience of the Fast and the Furious... if that means he could be a Celica or Civic, I'm not gonna mind what he is, as long as it's not... ricey.

I don't like it. I mean come on, the steering wheel is on the wrong side!!

*ducks*

;)

Seriously though, I think it's a nice car, but just not right for KITT. Honestly it feels like its been smashed a bit in the rear.

Yes, the rear is no good. Maybe it should be like on the Knight 4000...
