Good for u MrPayner!!!! Glad u got them fast!!! I had to wait for a month to get mine... :-) Oh well, it was worth the wait....!!!! Have fun admiring them!!

To be honest, I don't dare touch the cars too much as I don't want any fingerprints on both KITT and KARR..... Just a bit of dirt on either cars would make me twitch :D They are too precious...

Has anyone taken one of the cars apart to adjust the scanner?? The KITT model is spot on but the KARR one looks like it's down a bit [not as bright as KITT].. I might try over the course of the week to see if it can be done.

Agreed with the fingerprint thing.. Plus i don't want my kitty cats walking all over them! I'm putting them back in their cases.

Cheers

I don't like the steering wheel. Is it just me or is it actually misshapen?

Looks fairly easy.. I'll give it a go over the weekend and adjust KARR's LED's a bit..

What would be really cool would be to get 6 smaller red/orange ones and give the scanner more detail. Just a thought.

I don't dare open the cars up like that.... But through his pics, we can see how detailed the interior is. Its hard to see when its all covered up...

As for the scanner, my KARR scanner seems brighter than KITT's. Is it because KITT's led is not aligned properly?

Yeh.. I took apart the KARR one last night as mine are the other way around [KITT being spot on, KARR a little dull].. I very gently used a small small small [read tiny :P ] flat head screw driver to move the orange LED's up a fair bit and trimmed some of the rubber that's in the nose cone. It looks a lot better and is almost a good as KITT..

If anyone is interested I can send some nice hi-res images to them.. You can see the YAHOO images gallery at http://au.f2.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/mrp ... .dir=/3a1f .. If you would like some hi-res images [1600x1200], please PM me with the file name and your email address and I will send them to you. Also available in 800x600, so please specify your size or i'll send to the larger ones. ;)

Regards

If u notice by my pics, I have not even unscrewed KITT and KARR from the base yet. I just don like to touch the body too much.... :? When the batteries are low, I will have to unsrew the cars...

Nice pics by the way MrPayner....

Regarding the scanner, I don't dare dismantle the cars....... My KITT scanner lights up, but its not as bright as KARR's... You can see by my pics the glare that KARR's scanner makes in the photos... As long as it lights up, I don want to dismantle it... I'm not good with my hands...

Heh.. cool..

I was even thinking of buying a 2nd KITT or KARR and making a higher resolution scanner with 6 smaller LED's, I've got no idea where to start on a PCB though :( Could be worth a try if someone is really good at hobby stuff..

KARR Engineer possibly meant "..is it actually mishappen?" to be "..is it actually wrong?"

No, it appears to be the correct "wing" steering wheel..

I mean that the shape is too bulky for me, not like the smooth one on the actual KITT.
