Chevrolet has their own Semi
A new Chevrolet commercial has a car-carrier trailer driving around the city picking up all the new cars in the Chevy line-up. Each car drives up the moving ramp, KITT-like, until the last vehicle which BACKS up the moving ramp. The editing is a little too quick for my tastes, but I like the idea.
I have two versions of the commercial, depending on how fast your connection is:
http://www.teamknightrider.com/misc/chevrolet.mov (2.2 MB)
http://www.teamknightrider.com/misc/chevrolet2.mov (844k)
EDIT: I was trying to figure out what the backwards, ugly yellow car was and found out you can see the commercials at http://www.chevrolet.com Much better quality. The hideous yellow car is an SSR. Yuck.

That movie does not load in my QuickTime player. It says the decompressor could not be found. I told it to continue, but it did not play when I clicked the Play button. It just said that the program has generated an error and will be closed. I am using QuickTime 3.0. Does anyone have any suggestions?

You are several versions behind... QuickTime is up to 6.5. Download a new player here:
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
That should get it up and running.

In this commercial, whenever the ramp is laid down, there's that sparking effect, which is absent in the Knight Rider series, when the Mobile Unit lays down its ramps. Any idea why?
The Corvette's entry was the best part. From between the buildings, the red car rushes out and gets past a few obstacles and into the top tier of the truck. The Aveo's part was not so impressive, the Colorado (?) and Maxx had a good part as well, but that SSR was annoying- looks like I'm not alone. The background music is quite good and so is the caption.

Knight Rider's semi actually had tiny wheels at the end of the ramp so it could glide on the road without the sparks.

Semi Ramp
The semi ramp did sometimes make sparks if you ever see KITT going out at night.
