The David Hasselhott.at fan club website has news about a Knight Rider Convention 2004 being in the planning stages. It mentions that the producer actually has an event location chosen. That more details will be forthcoming in the next weeks.

Any idea if this is something totally new or is it just Knight Registries event in Ohio being talked about already?

This is a new event to be held in Germany... it seems even Hasselhoff will be there. Board member Swerni should have the details.

If you go, be sure and ask David about any plans for the new Knight Rider movie that will hopefully be hitting theatres soon. I'm really hoping that KITT will be a black 2003 model Trans Am with wrap around digital dash, that triangular buldge on the driver side of the hood, and of course the infamous red scanner light. Oh and he'll need William Daniels' voice. It just won't be KITT for me if those things are missing. But of course we can't always get what we want, but we can hope and make suggestions, right? I hope the movie will be as good as if not better than Fast and The Furious and xXx.

Are you trying to say Vin Diesel will be in the KR movie?

I hope not, cause he's not what you call a "good actor." I somehow ended up seeing both those movies and didn't like either one of them.

I didn't say that.

Nope, I wasn't implying on any actors, but the movie is alledgedly being done by Revolution Studios, is it not? They're the same company that did those other two movies. I really could care less who they have as actor so long as KITT still looks cool. I don't watch the show for the people. Now the game on the other hand.. it would be more practical if Michale had a more prominent role.

Yeah that's true.

I would want one in the socal area.

But maybe several independant ones could spring up, like the trek conventions do.

Glad to see they are putting this event on. It is a shame how ever that nothing gets promoted or put on here in the United States. We are the ones who gave him his career, I think they should have one here as well.

All we get is the Knight Registries convention and that is about as exciting as watching paint dry. :?

The again, if David has ever read that board, then it is understandable why he would want to be as far away as he could from here. LOL.

I think it doesn´t matter... let us do this convention, and we would be glad to see some fans from the states over here... I know it is a lot of money, but you can believe me... that will prove we are one fan family...

what does germany have that we dont have for a covention?

I don´t know what we have special, but I think we try it... You have to mention, that Davids singing career was more pushed over here then in the US and he is - it seems so - a little bit addicted to europe.

For sure, the beginning was in the states.

But I don´t think you have to be envy about that. It would be fantastic, if you would support the convention over here.

I believe, that when we have a great show here, the next Con will be in the US and also will be better and bigger . SO don´t be upset...

Theres no matter for that

For one thing, they've got Swerni! :)

Although we (the U.S.) gave Hasselhoff his career and he is definitely well-liked over here, we also made him a bit of a joke. He is a star here, but he's a superstar in Germany. To quote Norm MacDonald, "...and that just proves my point... Germans love David Hasselhoff."

I've always felt that Los Angeles would be the best place for a Knight Rider convention, but it also makes sense to me to have one in Germany. I think we would have trouble getting a good turn-out of dedicated Knight Rider fans, but in Germany they should be able to easily attract the old KR fans and all the new fans who simply want to see Hasselhoff.
