Jay Ohrberg
Hey Guys
I have a question. I try to get in touch with Jay Ohrberg because I have a couple Questions about a Replica and need very much help with my car projekt next year. He never writes me back. I try out both E-Mail Adresses, no answer. Is the E-Mail adress wrong or is he always busy or something else?? IS it better to call, I never try this out...

Re: Jay Ohrberg
When I tried to email him,I had tio wait a few days before a reply,he is not an internet guy ,but he sticks by the phone when he is there!...he has someone that handles the emails for him,I had the pleasure of ordering a switch pod and it got here pretty quick!....I was able to adapt it to my dash and after it worked out pretty good I am now thinking about buying a newer overhead and possibly a dash?...as far as a S.P.M. mode set?....many more years down the road!
just keep it in mind that he does attend car shows too and has other projects to check over and who knows what eles he has to deal with!
He spoke once about redoing all the knight rider parts pics on his website and we'll all be waiting for that!

Hey that is cool, when was you there and get this to work? Can you ask him about the Knight Rider 2010 car? What did you pay for this dash?

Re: Jay Ohrberg
I never went there!.....I had to do my own work,....it was $400.00 plus shipping and he can take credit cards! ...I simply just called him!
So next year I hope to get a set of hubcaps, a new over head console and hopefully later during the summer some other stuff!

Hey
Good to know, because I start my replica next year. It is going to be a GTA Trans Am style KITT and now I know where I can get my parts. How is the quality, do you have more pics?

Re: Jay Ohrberg
the quality is good and just needs a bit of sanding ,but around the back corners around the near the pillar areas would need to be trimmed off by 1 inch and then the dash slides right in to place and the switch pod lines up verynice too!.....I'll try to get more pics later!......I just relocated my head light switch ,seeing as how difficult it is to reach the haedlights in there normal place and switch pods kinda blocks that, I just made wiring harness and right now I am making another one for the dimmer as well!

Any more pics? How much prep work was required to the car interior before install?

Just follow the link to see what has been done so far! http://s470.photobucket.com/home/sheltonw3/indexdbelleman wrote:Any more pics? How much prep work was required to the car interior before install?
The prep work was only some minor sanding in some small rough spots and cutting out the areas for the MPH,Vox unit and RPM section and drilling some holes to mount the switch pod and one last cut out for the monitor and mounting in the tv frame ,
and cutting out the air vents and speake vents ,which were taken form a stock and dash and trmmed down to fit with supper glue and then I lined the undermath with vinyl seal at the front edge and both corners and had to trm off one inch on both outter corners and drill in 4 holes to mount the dash at the defroster vent areas and cut smaller slit on both sides were the smaller vents would go,I made two cuts 1/4 inch by 2 inches for both sides
I just got an overhead console and found out that jay only makes 14 inch caps only, sorry no 15 inch caps!
the overhead will be better detailed and have simular switch pod features instead of boring blank multi-color buttons!
so I will have to make special labels ,which means will be making my own electronics just for this project only!
but I still have buy a new printer to make my own labels too and if that works out well , then I will make newer labels for my switch pods too!
