David Has Invited KITT Owners To His February 14th Concert

Post by kitt2k » Fri Jan 29, 2010 10:01 pm

In my attempts to get David Hasselhoff to help the Knight Rider Festival, it has instead yielded a new possible event, an invitation from the Hoff himself for KITT car owners to join him at his concert February 14th at the Cache Creek Casino in Brooks California. So, are there any replica owners in the area who are interested in taking him up on the invite? If the Festival weekend wont work for you, but you would still like to get a "Knight Rider" event in with the bonus of "the Hoff" guaranteed to be there, here is the opportunity. Respond here or pm me if interested.

I am a good guy, Paul has decided where he wants the pieces to fall, so I guess now I have chosen my side.
I worked real hard to help that Festival situation out to the best of my ability, and now I have to call it like I see it.

This post is about a positve opportunity that may have presented itself to the fans.

Out of respect to the administation on this site I DID NOT bring my axe here to grind, I took it to a replica car owners site, as I am a replica car owner who attended last years event, and posted my, and many other replica car owners observations of last years event. You are the one who brought my thoughts on the Festival here for those who might be on the fence about attending the Festival to ponder. So who here exactly is "slating paul?"

Steve,

Please don’t bring arguments from another community with you to ours, as it’s unfair to our members.

To briefly address the subject that has been brought here, it’s fairly obvious that certain aspects of the Festival are proving to be troublesome for a number of the people who attended last year, especially those who own replicas.

Whether these feelings are in part, due to Paul’s lack of communication with the community at large, is not something I can know, but as things currently stand, the perception of KRF II is not entirely positive, and that’s something I hope can be addressed over the next month.

Matt
Welcome aboard the Knight 2000.

Thank you. What's all this, it looks like Darth Vader's bathroom?

The circumstances of the event have improved significantly since the time that doubt was originally introduced and was based upon a miscommunication between parties. That miscommunication has been cleared up and while there were misunderstandings last year, this year is shaping up to be a more positive and exciting experience.

Let's keep things positive because I promise you the things that are transpiring behind the scenes will be icing on the cake for everyone who chooses to come to the event and support our cause.

I feel compelled to step in and say something about this offer. David needs to come to us, we should not have to go to him in a place where he already knows he's going to be anyway.

For me, personally in my opinion if David comes to Knight Rider Festival II, he will have a grander stage to perform on with tons of fans clammering to see him. He will be viewed as the heroic figure that inspired us growing up and he will be among the cast, crew, and people who made him what he is today.

Having been a part of the UK shoot in LA for Living with Scott Mills along with fellow members of Knights of the West Coast, there is caring for fans and there is using them for your own needs. I think we as fans and car owners should send a strong message to David to consider giving back to our fandom and come to our event which he well knows about by now, instead of vice versa.

he wasn´t in KR Festival in 2009, so, this is the opportunity to show him what to do when u receive an invitation to be where a lot of people is waiting for you. I hope KITT car owners be there... show him the right way... :kittside:

I would have thought that after NBC Universal decided not to do knight rider his way, being turned down by Glen to do a cameo on the new movie, that David would like nothing to do with knight rider ever again. This invitation just goes to show that their are many facets to this guy.He still cares about knight rider.Even if he turned down going to the first festival(or because of his douche bag manager) and instead of coming to us,he is inviting us to come to him.It says something about how much he cares for his fans.

I want to help both. Believe me , I want nothing more than for the replica owners to get to meet David. So believe me, even with what has happened, I am trying to help get that done, in addition to getting those interested in the Cache Creek show the access he promised there as well.

I am doing my best!

I don't post here much, but this really irritated me in it's absolute arrogance.

explain to me WHY should Hasslehoff "come to us"???? Reality check, Nick.... he has had a pretty successful career since "Knight Rider". "we" didn't make him, his drive and his acting skills made him, even when in the fourth season they took a decent show and turned it into a frakkin joke (SPM) I personally think it is a generous offer to invite conversion owners to one of his shows. And as far as "using" Knights Of The West Coast for his own needs, that is patently absurd. He doesn't really need you guys. You should feel honored he decided to include you. If you didn't want to be involved in that show, there is a word Republicans in congress use constantly these days... 2 letters: NO. you could have refused to do it. Don't cry about it after the fact because you couldn't get him to your show. There are many around this country who actually OWN a KITT conversion, which I believe you do NOT, who would walk on broken glass to get Mr. Hasselhoff close to their car. Your attitude in this is at best inappropriate.

What I sense is you're torqued because he dared to not come to your "gods gift to the fan world" show last year. Ya know, maybe he is busy making a living instead of volunteering his time helping you to sell autographed books. Try being a little more humble, bud, and stop shilling for yourself all the time... you might find that works better than spouting vitriol at the star of "Knight Rider"

You don't speak for the majority of mostly silent fans out here, and when posting stuff about David Hasselhoff on a public forum, I think it would be wise to be a bit more respectful if you ever want him to take this fandom seriously. If YOU or Paul Casey have a problem with him, I suggest you deal with it off line and on your own time.

David Hasselhoff doesn't owe us ANYTHING. He doesn't have to give back to us... WE owe him our respect since he IS Michael Knight

You are entitled to your opinion which you have clearly stated and it is simply that, your opinion just as my post was my opinion based on experience you were not a part of regarding last year's event and is clearly stated as such.

I need make no further comment.

I think Vic kept a cool head about himself over this one. Good job Nick. Some people are not willing to let by gones be by gones yet I guess. Just the fact that David invites his fans to bring their replicas to his concert shows a lot in my opinion. My favorite show ahead of Knight Rider is Macgyver. Richard Dean Anderson who plays Macgyver in the show really has nothing to do with his Macgyver related fans. Yes he will sign autographs and such but it almost seems like he looks at the show as an embarrassment. He even seems to think poorly of the show which was my number one show and inspiration growing up. Atleast David is not embarrassed to say, Hey I am the Knight Rider. He is willing to let his fans come to his concert and bring their replicas. Maybe some people are overlooking the gift they have here. If I had a replica or if I was even close to his concerts or had the money to get to it, I would be there in a heartbeat. No one can ever say David doesn't stand by his KR fans. He may have missed the previous KR events, I mean he is a celebrity and does have a lot on his plate at all times so that is to be expected. I can only hope some people accept his offer which is a great one if I do say so myself.

I have experience with, let's just say, high contacts in high places and to get them to do something, you need to kiss a little ass, they don't do it first.

I believe that paragraph has even more truth to it now that this show started 27 years ago and finished 24 years ago(I think people forget this before they get all too serious).

Hasselhoff has other ways to make some money right now and has had lots of opportunites for other things since Knight Rider ended.

That's all I will say.
