I agree. This car has the WOW factor.Plus it doesn't have that boxy look like the Cobra used in KR'08. :D

Or words to that effect.
I think most of the cars on these "KITT should be this car" topics
would detract from the storyline.
KITT should look like a production line model to the average person.

KITT should be an American car, no japanese car can be KITT, that is just wrong on so many levels. Personally I think it would be cool if the old KITT returned :)

I agree kitt needs to a American car. I would like to see kitt in the return in the 2008 mustang.

Honda ruined the NSX, now it looks a bit too...uhm...gook?

However, it looks better than the Camaro, but so does a polished stone.

Ummm, Tom, I'm pretty sure Accura made the NSX, not Honda....

Indeed Blowersho,

The NSX began life in Japan under the Honda banner, as Honda, like Toyota and Nissan, didn't use their premium brands, Acura, Lexus, and Infiniti respectively, within their home nation at the time. :good:

English is not my mother tongue so if something I say sounds weird it probably is :P

You know those yellow veitnamese, japanese (over there) people with dyed blond spiky hair? the kind of car they would drive :P

and Matthew is right about the NSX :)

hey you guys I've a pic to show ya. This is a manipulation done by 2K&3KKITT for me of what my KI2T concept's 010 Shelby Mode body would look like

I thought I would post it here first to see what you guys thought, as I thought if if KI2T came back in season2 in a newer body, this would be it as a way of giving him a rebirth of sorts....

this is my concept, and one I've tried to manipulate my self but couldn't, so I asked her to see if she was able to.... and this was her result....

Interesting ideas throughout...

I'm not sure there is a car that currently has the 'feel' of the Kitt character - but it is not as difficult as all that to re-skin a chassis and design a new car instead of trying to 'make do' with what the corps have to offer. Once you've got the moulds you can do more than one and stunt versions etc. They were on the mark first time round with the effortless trans-am, and destiny was surely on their side. It would actually be quite straightforward to design a not-too-ostentatious, not-'ott' or over aggressive design with the feel of Kitt as the character that turned us all on to KR, but a more time-appropriate 'facelift'. Its about the 'presence' it creates, and being able to look at it and think 'oh, its Kitt', not 'oh, its a (black) car with a knight rider-ish light on the front'...a very easy trap to fall into. The body can have an 'American' vibe, if required, but thats more in the attitude of the form - if one was pursue in a new design the same 'feel' as Kitt, the orignal, then one would find that falls in naturally.

...remember Mustang Kitt and Trans-Am Kitt are two different characters...if you're talking about the main Kitt (KI2T) for a movie, and I think you would be really.. then you're looking for an automotive 'actor' with the same feel. Not a parody, or imitation, but something that still says 'kitt', and doesn't even have to try.

The Vette in my book is the only car that should be used in the movie. It's the closest looking to a Trans Am and it looks like a car Knight Rider/Micheal Knight and Kitt would be in. The mustang is to box shape and its a ford. Anything but ford guys. Do you really want a fix or repair daily vehicle as the knight rider car. You might as well stick a Dodge Charger as the car if your going with a ford mustang. As far as I'm concern if your sticking Micheal Knight in a Mustang it might as well be a El Camino. Mustang has always maintain a bold boxy shape unlike its competitor camaro.

I think that you can't beat the original (maybe because I'm a grumpy teenager who wants to live in the 80s)

It lookd s great dude, bute if we ever get a 2nd season, and they decide to back KI2t,in an updated body i don't think they would be able to do cross branding, having one KITT as AS a chevy and one as a ford, and another thing if KI2t were to came back as a mustang he would have to be a 2010 Super Snake not a KR as KR's are no longer produced as they just limited special edition cars. As i mentioned before I dont think that they should use Shelby Stangs for KITT in season2, they should just use a stock GT V8 mustang as hero KITT and a heavily modifided preferably twin turbo charged, 1000hp GT V8 with a sleek and agressive custom built Knight rider only body kit. :kitt2:

Oi! Don't laugh you. I had that idea first!

Talk about coincidence! The DAY after I finish my own installation, I check this thread and what do I see someone has suggested... I havn't taken pictures yet, but I can tell you (for the record) that there is a real DeLorean like this..a difficult installation actually, a lot of custom work to integrate it into a space where there isn't really space, and a one-off scanner made specially

This is somewhat reassuring, I did think for a minute I'd gone a bit mad
