Your right it is Tobie.I was thinking of an older knight rider project i took on where i shared my knight rider collection of pics to work on the car add on.Thanks for correcting me.

its alreaady pretty easy rhd, all you need is the img tool & follow the instructions

i followed the instructions but the game only goes half way loading and hangs... :(

I dont know why you guys are having such trouble, installing the cars is quite easy & the mod itself comes with its own installer. The KR mod is cool but it gets old real fast because theres nothing else you can do after you complete the couple easy tasks that come with it. Everything else in the game is unavailible including mini-games, casinos missions etc. Its better just to install the models from the KR mod & use them in the regular game. I would use the KITT made by tobie with the link i posted before because its a much better model than the one that came in KR mod. Try re-installing GTA SA so its fresh then try installing the cars. I made real cool sound packs for the cars to bring them to life but lets get past this part first before trying to install sound mods for the game. This thing is so badass i dont care what anybody says! Here is a few pics of a new version that the author is making, he sent me a early version of it, i edited the scanner color & smoothness to more of my liking a bit closer to the actual car. I tell you what driving this thing in the game is so cool & couldnt even imagine what the real one would be like! The stock sounds for the bandito that this car uses is absolutly perfect for it! The scanner works like it does on the actual car & you could edit the horn to make it talk if you want. It does come with a normal cruise mode also. You wont find non better than the author of these cars!

I just played the part of the game where you chase down the helicopter using the Knight 3000, it was nuts just like out of a movie with bullets bouncing off the car, dodging traffic & everything! You guys really need to play the original game GTA SA with this car & player model! Its a whole new different & awesome experience!

i have installed the kitt and karr from the kit you said. Some problems:

where must i put the mp3 and sfx folders?what numbers must have the 2 bank folders in the sfx folder?

apart of the sounds, after installing kitt and karr, i start a new game and at the half of the loading game crashes. I did all the steps correctly. Please help

i tried reinstalling the game but it still gets all jammed up like it was. I gave up on it. How many times can I reinstall a game that doesn't work ( I've done it a good 8-10 times already.).

It isn't worth having a half *ssed game that takes up that kind of memory. The only way I can run it is "RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR" and NONE of those KITT cars show up in the game anywhere.

i remember in need for speed games , some one made an actuall installer, ie u download the car for the game , went into the installer and it installed it all in the right place, thats whats needed here, I hate friggn around with this stuff
I just wanna drive the cars not spend hours trying to make it work.
I do thank the people who do this cars, but some one should make a basic installer progam..

I think you are talking about SAMI (San Andreas Mod Installer).

But these new kitt models have more files to install than a normal mod for SA. Because of that i demand a good tutorial to install them properly in game(i mean the new knight rider mods of this topic) from someone of the ones who have just installed them sucessfully in the game, GarthKnight you specially, cause you are the one that started this topic.

I've installed them properly and even though the dual scanners are kinda cool,I'm still not used to kitt being a mustang so I had Tobie whip me a up a special version of kitt with his hubcaps.I've also passed along the suggestion to merge the wraith with kitt for a real knight 3000.He will have kitts scanner,kitts season 4 interior and his hubcaps.As well as a little batmobile styles arrow plates in the front gap of the nosepiece.He also liked the idea of making a 2002 version of kitt with his hubcaps,season 4 interior and scanner light.But currently we're working on fine tunning the regular 1982 kitts.

Wow i krvc i thought you fell off the face of the earth! I may be the forum starter but im not the mod author, i learned how install the mods from the readme's included with the mods just as anybody else & dont have a Mr. Myagi way of explaining how to do it aside from what it says in the readme. As for the sounds i will post a program that installs sounds along with a bank list so you can find the correct numbers, Knight Racer i should have known you were the reason for Tobies KITT repack lol!

that's all well and good, but how in the heck do you get that car into the stupid game. I followed the directions in the read me text and it locks the game every single time. I used the two tools they said to use and something must not be going in right or something. Somebody here MUST have an easier way.

Ok Kram listen, make sure you do a fresh install. Then Open the image tool 2.0 open the gta3.img file, then find the name bfinject.dff, click replace on the img tool, select the newkitt.dff from the folder to replace the old bfinject.dff. Then find the bfinject.txd in the same gta3.img & replace that with the KNIGHT3000.txd. Do the same with the bandito & the attack KITT then make sure you close image tool. Then get a mod called GTA SA control center. This will allow you to spawn any car, and it makes any car you drive invulnerable & have turbo boost.

It might also matter as to what version of GTA:SA you have for PC though I'm sure the v2 issue has been worked around by now. You might need to update the game with the official patch also... When I had GTA:SA installed I didn't have any problems with modding... *Shrugs*
The new and again improved evil's advertisement is currently too long and too badass to display here. But let's just say that with now 50% more evil, this **** is great! :twisted: :skar:

Kram i dont know what your doing wrong, it has to be something. Go to gtaforums.com modding section & ask around there & explain exactly what is happening & im sure someone can help you better than i could. I believe there is tutorials & search youtube for a visual tutorial i think saw one there before too.
