The Toyota GTV concept from 1985. Jump to 4:00 for some KITT take-off action.

When that concept was built, all factors were in favour of gas turbines in comparison to internal combustion engines. Chrysler had their fair share of work on such cars, but they didn't make it into production - the GTV was intended to, but didn't.

Capstone Turbine Corporation is working on a hybrid-electric sports car powered by a microturbine. Finally a step in the right direction - one that KITT had from the very beginning.

damn
that looks awesome!
the sound is KITT!!

imagine driving that, just the sound alone is beautiful!!
I reckon any new KR movie needs to use a concept car like this, something totally unique, let the car maker give money to the film makers to use the car in the film.

my word!
simply amazing! :kitt:
