K.I.T.T. Comlink

Post by Marek » Tue Dec 01, 2009 11:21 am

Hi,
I have a bet with a friend about K.I.T.T.s comlink. Did Michael Knight ever recorded something with his "watch" and played it back using K.I.T.T.s audio system? Please don't let me loose the bet - it would be a real (k)nightmare:-)
Thanks for your help.
Marek

I'm afraid he didn't do that in the technical sense. However, Michael did use it as an extension of KITT on several occasions. In Chariot of Gold for instance, he used it to unlock a door that was hiding Graham Deauville’s master plan for the Helios society, and in Junkyard Dog, he used it to take photos of "Acid" John Byrock's business documents, which were unfortunately lost when KITT was destroyed a short time later.

Welcome aboard the Knight 2000.

Thank you. What's all this, it looks like Darth Vader's bathroom?

Well, he did record a crook's 'confession' with the comlink in Slammin' Sammy's ... (season one), but it wasn't played back onscreen. And he recorded a conversation with Adrienne in Goliath Returns, which Kitt used to splice together an order to release Michael from the dungeon. It was audible in Kitt, but the exact recording wasn't played back. Those are two instances I can think of, but there are probably others - that watch could do anything!
We'll never get the smell out of the upholstery - Kitt, Knightlines

With the exception of White Line Warriors, I don't think he used to record things. I thought KITT could do that without the need of the Comlink. :good:

Michael also used his comlink to "photo transmit via comlink" from Bario's plant to Bonnie in Killer KITT. I don't remember any times right off hand that he recorded something over the comlink that were not already mentioned.
