Knight 2000 vs. KARR 2008 premonition?

I've been digging into my archives to populate the new KRO image galleries and I came across this....
It's a still from the Davilex Knight Rider game (which looked a lot better than it played.) Is it just me, or does the enemy robot seem very similar to KARR 08?
