Ki3t hud speedo display

Post by k.i.t.t2k » Mon Aug 03, 2009 6:14 am

Just something i have noticed .. how come the speedo seems to vary greatly when on screen IE the actual speed will flicker around very randomly 75 80 72 76 .. doesn't seem to be able to hold a constant speed ?

Maybe Mike doesn't know how to keep a steady throttle? :P

even if he didn't then surely the speedo would go up and down in sequence rather than randomly

Maybe he is losing his focus when looking at all the info on the screen! . you know, sometimes he is watching a vedio, sometimes he is watching some files and some times he is talking to Sarah or something. and as long he is not making any big driving mistakes, KITT will not jump in and try to do something. I noticed that too. The speedometor keeps flickering between those numbers. Ki2t didn't do that. I wonder if it's just NBC's way of exageratting, I don't know.

This reminds me of the old series season 2 kitt the cat.If you look at the 26th minute of the episode kitt the cat,you will notice kitt in park in front of a doorway that Michael just came through and you see a driverless kitt with both speedometer and techometer going up and down while he remains perfectly still.

Half the time, well all the time there just doing the driving scenes with green screen and the dials are always read 0.

This is also true for TOS as they had to do KITT speaking in a blacked out room with that camera angel which was used regularly. Season 3/4 you would most likely/allways see tthe spedo reading 0. (New Dash)

Kitt:“ON MY WAY MICHAEL!”

times have changed and ki3ts hud is done by computers and has to have been programmed by someone ?i think with the original series they had different dash's in each car IE hero car with functional speedo ect then exterior car dash with random lights ect but the main thing is that what we saw was 100% real where as ki3ts hud someone is responsible for making them fit into the scenes and having a speedo that would only work if there was an electrical fault is a bit poor
