I think it is over priced too but maybe for a guy how is having his own workshop, can take it and creat KITT from it.

they must be nuts, that car is a piece of crap it needs a lot of work, they would be lucky to get even $800.00 for that car, for the price he is asking you could get a knight 2000 replica in excellent condition!

Re: I seriously doubt this car is worth 40,000
Thats one frelled car.
Its def at the end of its life and by the look of it it hasnt been looked after.
I used to be a mechanic (what a female mechanic?! well blame Bonnie for that lol) just from the pics I can say....
rear divers side tyer looks knackered, it also looks like the pannel under the petrol cap is dented.
The suspetion on the drivers side at the rear looks higher than the other side posibly connected to the dent.
The dash looks like its held together with zip ties, also theres a worrying tarp covering the centrol concel and the pasenger seat.
Theres a speeker missing on top of the dash, plus the glove box seams to have a bit of wood stuffed in there.
The paints faded and cracked
I would say its worth £400 or 50 quid as scrap value.
Not what I would use to start a KITT conversion. That is unless you had the time the money and a workshop to gut the car and start over.
well thats what I think anyway.
Cheers

Funny!
I think its just a mistake of typing and the car worth only $4000.
At least for the first sight

Re: I seriously doubt this car is worth 40,000
At first I thought perhaps it just needed a paint job but had a new engine and parts underneath, but nope. Now I think that the seller is just banking on the fact that a 1982 two-tone Firebird is a rarity.

Re: I seriously doubt this car is worth 40,000
You guys are ALL JEALOUS AND OR BROKE !!!!!!!!!
That car is a BARGIN at that price..........
As the owner of the Benchwarmers KITT I could tell you that instead of buying some Turn Key completely DONE car for $60,000.00 or finding a FINISGED KITT, why not be different and buy this wonderful car FULL of custom work that took THIRTY YEARS to create?
See, I look at it this way, go into a time machine......... flash back to the 1980's and leave a perfectly good car out in the Sun with the windows open and wait a long, long time and you will have the work of art seen here.
TYPO !!!!!!! He meant a Buy SH*T now price of $4.00
Give the guy a break already !!!!!!

Must be a typo. Like someone said before, $800 would be the most Id give.
Re: I seriously doubt this car is worth 40,000
