George Barris Speak of new KITT for 2007?

I was watching this youtube video and towards the end around 1:12 he states that there will be a script written for 2007, is he speaking of the new show?

Well I can't see how he would have any involvement in scripts or other production work to be honest, other than if he's been hired to make a car.
Was he involved in the 08 show? if not who knows what he was talking about, nothing happened in 07 so he was obviously wrong.

I guess in 07 they must have been working on ideas for the 08 show. NBC did pay him a visit and discussed ideas of how they could incorporate KI2T into the new show. If memory serves me right I believe Mr Barris said that one of those visits was filmed. I'll cross my fingers that it will be on the 08 DVD.

The whole thing was just a rushed mess.
The announcement back in Autumn '07 that a back door pilot was coming soon - then it was just thrown together to satisfy the execs.
I just wish that they'd taken their time to do it right. Taking time costs money though adn right now there ain;t a lot of that floating about...

when KR was shown it was done during the writers strike, i personally liked the Pilot Movie, yea some dumb scenes like the Edge keeping up, hahaha.
but from the beginning to the end it well done, if they kept going after that story line it could of worked.

Breaks my heart because I know that if GST wasn't on board the guys from the pilot would have done a better job IMO with the nostalgia and all the original stuff (KI2T, MK, etc) instead of creating a Transformers wannabe show (GST)
