K.I.T.T Coming To TomTom and Garmin GPS

Post by Slipstream » Wed Jul 01, 2009 3:21 pm

Hey guys.

If you didn’t manage to get the Knight Rider GPS but still want K.I.T.T greeting you by name and giving you turn-by-turn directions, I’ve got some great news!

K.I.T.T is coming as a standalone voice download for TomTom and Garmin GPS devices. We know everybody loved the personal greeting the Knight Rider GPS would give you, so over on our website we have opened it up to you and if you want to be greeted by KITT in the voice directions, head over to Navtones and submit your name for consideration.

The download will be available later this year, so if your name isn’t Michael but still want K.I.T.T to great you, submit your name and keep your scanners peeled.

Thanks and enjoy.

Sweet!!! I need to get a gps desperately.

What would also be really cool is if Kitt could do last names.. Like Mr. Smith etc.

It's good to see that William Daniels' voice work is still getting a lot more use after the short-lived Mio G.P.S.!

Yeah, it's going to be very cool. We'll be doing some behind-the-scenes stuff and some giveaways too. A lot of people have been asking when it's out and we're shooting for early fall.

Very happy I held out, as I did not like the way the Knight Rider GPS preformed compared to my $300 TomTom! Thank you very much for this news!
