Fan Fic Information - Season 2 Episode 1 - Knight’s Fury
Hi guys,
I’ve kicked off the premier of season 2 a few moments ago, and I’d like to move the informational discussion from the 18th one into this thread.
I’m planning to moderate this story more closely, so if any of you would be willing to help me maintain the less agreeable elements of the established mythology, like KITT being a Mustang instead of a Trans Am, I’d appreciate it, as unfortunately, the last round robin was hampered by a number of unnecessary changes.

Re: Fan Fic - Season 2 Episode 1 - Knight’s Fury
Hmmm,
I guess I was hoping that the fresh start being setup at the end of the last story would allow us to focus on a 100% pure new series episode this time around, especially given the knowledge that what remained of the original team were out there making a difference in their own way.
I had envisioned Welther shooting Mike when I originally wrote the opening, as his return, and apparent jailbreak, brings with it the promise of continued hostilities. Add to that that he’s the catalyst of Mike’s mission, his “Tanya” if you will, and it’s a storyline that would have picked up an old thread, and allow us to delve into the murky depths of the Blackriver Corporation.
I guess we’ll have to save that for later though.

Hi guys,
I just wanted you all to know that I’ve made a few minor amendments to the story due to a number of conflicting posts.
Unfortunately, we also had a glitch a couple of hours ago that appears to have removed at least two replies from the story thread. I’m not sure of the direction you guys chose, but I’d imagine that it was similar to the route I was preparing, and have now posted again after it too was lost.
To make this more TNS orientated, I’ve chosen to integrate the Blackriver Corporation into the storyline as mercenaries who are working for the remaining members of the Pan African Liberation Movement and their associates, such as Mr. Zachary.
Having chosen to use Welther as the would-be assassin, I’ve also added a level of personal conflict for Mike, given that this is the man that killed his mother.
Fingers crossed, there will be no more glitches, but just in case, I’d advise everyone to prepare their posts in MS Word and save them for a few days, just to ensure that we have backups.

Hey guys,
I just want to duck my head in for a minute and remind those of you that are participating to ensure your posts are formatted clearly, and follow on from previously established facts.
As it stands right now, these are the areas that don’t follow on from the established facts that came before them:
1. Welther Mulhare being identified as the assassin has changed to an automated attempt by remote control, whereby the identity of the shooter would become unknown to KITT, and remove the personal element driving Mike in this situation.
2. Jonathan Zachary has become a known element to Mike and KITT with no explanation whatsoever. At this point, the only people that Mike should be aware of are Welther Mulhare of the Blackriver Corporation, and Tebogo Kuna, who has ascended to the leadership of the Pan African Liberation Movement.
3. To further confuse matters, we have also now gone back to a human shooter, when a mechanical device was being employed at the house.
It’s important to ensure that you carefully read this kind of story before participating, as round robins are primarily built upon the continuity of its participants, along with their ingenuity in creating unique, yet plausible scenarios. I’d prefer to not have to go over every post and check for details that couldn’t possibly occur and/or be known, but it may become necessary if the story is to flow smoothly to a natural conclusion.

Since confusion seems to abound throughout this story,
Should we continue???
I will...but I do not wanna offend or add to the current level of confusion.
Should we start over?

Re: Fan Fic Information - Season 2 Episode 1 - Knight’s Fury
Quoted from the main storyline thread
I'm aware this is to be treated like it's a TV episode. But bear in mind, stronger language has
been in the recent Knight Rider TV series, such as the word "pissed" being used a few times.
Much stronger language (including coarse swear words) are often used in TV drama shows, especially those that are aired after the so-called 9pm "watershed".
Tell ya what ... I'll cut back on the use of "godammit" if you present your future posts in the
main storyline thread with clearer formatting, and no carriage returns in the wrong places.
Despite being politely asked a few times, you continued with your unusual posting method
with slightly difficult to read formatting. Even the moderator Matthew, has expressed his
own concerns over unusual, and unclear formatting of posts in the main storyline thread.
My response . . .Knight94 wrote: A favor, DJGM, could we chill w/ the saltier language? Try to think of this
as being an episode on tv. God's last name is not damn or dammit.

Here's a screengrab how I see Knight94's last entry in the story . . .Matthew wrote: DJGM,
You need to cool your heels and cut out the antagonism.
Now, having looked through this thread, it would appear that the formatting of Knight94's posts
is virtually identical to Luke Windstyle's, MustangFan91's, and your own. Given the similarities,
I’m really not sure what you expect him to change, unless you’re planning to ask everyone to
revert to the form of formatting that's used in novels?
Matt
. . . see what I mean? My issue with his posting style is too many carriage returns. My posting
style is nothing like that. It's far neater, with carriage returns only where they need to be.
Either put carriage returns at the end of the line, or don't put any in at all.

If that's what you're seeing DJGM, then I’m afraid that there is something wrong with your browser, and as a result, you owe Knight 94 an apology for the comments you've directed towards him as of late, as this is the formatting that he has actually been using, which, as you can see, is virtually identical to that of your own.

Re: Fan Fic Information - Season 2 Episode 1 - Knight’s Fury
There's nothing particularly wrong with the way any of the browsers I've installed on here,
display this site. and I've pretty much got 'em all. My main browser is SeaMonkey 1.1.16
(formerly known as the Mozilla Suite) my secondary one is Mozilla Firefox 3.5, plus a
couple of others that use the Gecko rendering engine ... Flock and Lunascape.
The rest I use mainly for testing my webpages, rather than general everyday web browsing.
In no particular order ... IE8+7, Opera 9, Safari 4, and a recent nightly build of Chromium.
Bar very minor rendering differences, such as very slightly smaller fonts, especially in the
newer versions of Mozilla based browsers, they all render this site pretty much the same.
I suspect both Knight94 and yourself are using a much higher screen resolution than I do,
and I assume on widescreen monitors. The display on all my systems is set to 1024x768.
I only ever set it higher if I'm watching any video material made in high definition.
Other than that, I stick with the most widely used screen resolution.

Knight94 posts look fine to me. My screen resolution is 1280x1024. For the life of me I couldn't figure out what DJGM was nickpicking about.
I think you're doing an awesome job Knight94, keep it up. I wish I had the imagination you guys do.

Well, to be fair DJGM, there’s nothing that any of us can do about your screen resolution making people’s posts look different to what was intended. We’re not going to change our screen resolutions just to appease one disgruntled member after all.DJGM wrote:I suspect both Knight94 and yourself are using a much higher screen resolution than I do,

Having finally seen the problem though, it would appear that certain quotes within your posts have been reformatted to match the width of your comments, which also appear to have been affected by the formatting problems that you have been noticing.
As such, I'll ask Neil to look into whether this is something that could be caused by the board software failing to reformat posts when switching them from one screen resolution to another.
Until then though, I feel you need to apologise to Knight 94 for what is obviously a misunderstanding that became heated due to you feeling ignored, as this is obviously due to no one understanding what your issue was, due to it not being apparent to the vast majority of us.

In a small update from Neil, he says that the formatting problems could be due to us using Microsoft Word to compose our posts and correct spelling, grammar and whatnot, as Word’s formatting can cause annoying problems such as this according to what he’s discovered.
He’s also said that 30.24% of our members use screen resolutions that are equal to or lower to 1024x768, whilst 59.74% use larger.

just as visual notes mike was using this hand gun (more like hand tank turret)
welther had this
and sarah had this

Re: Fan Fic Information - Season 2 Episode 1 - Knight’s Fury
Welther would likely have an HK USP compact .45, as a possible standard issue from a group like
BlackRiver security, and it could do some damage. But Mike's Desert Eagle .45 and Sarah's Colt
1911 .45 Large Frame would be the serious hole punchers. That's some serious firepower.

I was thinking for the next episode we could have a scene where mike and kitt are in a shoot out and then airwolf appears and helps them but neither realise what it is because it is a top secret project.
It will be called flying knight
