Fan Fic - Season 2 Episode 1 - Knight’s Fury

[DJGM]

The connection is abruptly cut by the other party.

Mike (dazed): KI3T, who was that voice?

KI3T: I do not know Michael. It seems that a voice changer device was used by the caller,
so it is going to be quite difficult to match it up with audio files currently stored in my
databanks with my voice recognition software or in the Foundation's digital archives.

Mike (slurred): C-can you, uhhm trace the call b-back to where it came from?

KI3T: The connection was heavily encrypted, so it may take quite some time for me to
pinpoint the location of where it originated from, and to decode the transmission.

Mike (slurred): He mentioned your p-predecessor. He m-meant the original KITT didn't he?

KI3T: Yes Michael, I believe so. Now please don't try to speak. You have been hurt by the
impact of the explosion and you are severely concussed. You have no internal injuries.

Moments later, an ambulance and fire truck appeared on the scene.

[DJGM]

Back at the refurbished FLAG mansion . . .

Charles: Sarah, have you seen Mike or KI3T? I need to show them some improvements I'm
planning for KI3T's new garage and some security upgrades for KI3T's data storage system.

Sarah: They went out a little while ago. I asked KI3T where they'd gone and KI3T said it
was classified information. I think Mike's gone out to buy me a surprise wedding gift.

Charles: OK Sarah, as long as they're back soon. (chuckles) Classified information!

Charles leaves the office.

The plasma screen in Sarah's office came to life and KI3T voice orb appeared.

KI3T: Sarah, Mike has been injured. He is in an ambulance en-route to the hospital.

Sarah: Oh my god ... Dad, get in here quick, Mike's hurt!

Charles runs back in the room.

Sarah: Which hospital's he heading to KI3T?

KI3T: The ambulance is 1.3 miles from Huntington Memorial Hospital. I am following
right behind. We'll be arriving at the emergency room in approximately 2 minutes.

Charles: We're on our way now KI3T, hang in there.


FOOTNOTE:
I did a bit of research. Since the FLAG mansion is really Arden Villa, Pasadena, CA, and as
the aforementioned hospital is in Pasadena, I figured it'd be best hospital to mention,
given that it's probably not too far to drive from where the FLAG mansion is.

"KITT, how did Mike end up in the hospital?" Sarah asked into her earwig as she dashed into the Emerency Room doors.

KITT had been so frantic about keeping Michael safe and getting him help, he had forgotten to keep this a secret. Now, what was he to do? He knew that Michael didn't want Sarah to panic and that he had perferred to leave her out of this. KITT stumbled over the idea of what to say and then ventured into just staying quiet.

Sarah never even noticed KITT's indecision or lack of response because she was already yelling at the elderly receptionist about her lack of concern. It seemed that Mike didn't have any identification on him and the nurse was putting him on the waiting list for a doctor. Sarah was livid to say the least.

Mike lay strapped down to a very straight, very uncomfortable medical gurney. They had strapped ever piece of him down tight and had even wrapped a C-Collar around his neck. The dizziness and nausea had subsided a bit but he still didn't feel like dancing the Mamba. And laying here all helpless doing absolutely nothing was driving him MAD.

"KITT, is there a way out of here?" He begged into the earwig.

KITT: I shouldn't tell you this but there is a weakness in one of the straps holding your right arm. If you break that you can easily undo the rest of the straps and remove the C-collar.
Mike: KITT I owe you one thanks for getting me out of here.
(Mike breaks strap and then undos the rest and then removes the C-collar)
KITT: There is a doctor approaching your room.
Mike: It's ok they can't force me to stay
KITT: Sarah is with him
Mike: KITT you have to get me out of here.

(Cut to sarah with the doctor)

Sarah: Is he going to be alright?
Doctor: Don't worry he is going to be fi...

(Doctors pager goes off and he has to take sarah with him)

KITT: Sarah and the doctor are no longer coming to your room
Mike: Thank you KITT shall we get going then
KITT: Ok i will meet you at the rear fire escape as that will provide the easiest route out of the facility.

(Shows KITT pull away from car park across the street with tyres smoking)

[My_Friend_KITT]

"KITT, did you get anything on that odd transmission?" Mike asked as he relaxed in the warm driver's seat.

"No Michael, still trying to decrypt the signal. But I wouldn't be so worried about the transmission as I would Sarah. When she finds out about your escape, we are in trouble." KITT added with a bit of sarcasm.

"By the way KITT," Mike asked with a sly smile. "When are you going to get that communication's problem fixed?"

"Problem?" KITT asked very perplexed. "I am in perfect working order."

Mike grinned knowingly. "Yeah, that problem with your communication's system. It seems to be preventing Sarah from getting through."

"Ohhhh, that problem," KITT finally answered with understanding. "Yeah, I can't seem to find out the source of the issue. It may take days to fix."

Mike winked at KITT's blue-glowing voice modulator. "Thanks."

[DJGM]

Mike suddenly grimaced in pain and put a hand to his torso.

KI3T: Michael, your concussion has partially worn off, but you do have a bruised rib.
It would be most advisable if I took over the control of the car for the time being.

Mike: Yeah, I guess. Owww!

KI3T: I can administer some first aid to your bruised rib, Michael.

Mike: And you can stop this goddam pain?

KI3T: Yes. Although it may slightly add to the pain momentarily.

Mike knew KI3T actually meant the first aid would actually hurt like hell.

Mike: OK, KI3T ... uhhhmm, go for it!

KI3T: Open up your jacket, Michael.

Mike clenches his fists and tenses up his face muscles in anticipation of the searing pain
he's about to endure. A thin beam of green light shoots out from KI3T's voice orb like
a medicinal laser towards the affected area on Mike's ribcage.

Mike: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!

KI3T: Michael please, that was the anaesthetic!

Mike: Anaestethic?!? You sure about that? Felt like I'd been kicked in the chest!

KI3T: You big baby!

Mike: KITT!

Cut to doctor and Sarah

Doctor: Strange, I guess my pager is acting weird today.

Sarah: So what is wrong with Mike, Doctor.

Doctor: I explain as soon as we get in the...

Doctor notices Mike is gone.
Sarah: Oh my..

Doctor (yells out the door): We have a runner

KI3T: Michael, it appears the doctors have been notified of your disappearance.

Mike: Damn! Ow!!

KITT: Michael, you need to stop moving until I finish administering first aid!

[Knight94]

Mike: How 'bout switchin' places. You be the patient, I'll be the "doctor", we'll see how you like getting
the painful treatment.

KITT: I have been the "patient", Mike. Not fun. However, you tend to be rather whiney with even the
least amount of medical attention. Case in point, the application of anesthesia has sent you writhing in
pain, with a near blood-curdling scream. How you got to be an Army Ranger is beyond me.

Mike: KITT, quit playing wise-acre and just finish the treatment.

Cut to Sarah

Sarah: Dad, Mike has escaped from the hospital

[DJGM]

Charles: OK, what's he really up to ... KI3T, Mike, you there? What happened?

KI3T: I am online Charles.

Mike: It's OK ... I'm fine.

Charles: Why did you run from the hospital, and why were you taken there, Mike?

Mike: I tripped over a loose paving stone on the sidewalk. I decided I didn't really need
to be in a hospital ... I wasn't badly injured anyway, just a couple o' bruises. It woulda
been waste of FLAG money to pay a hospital bill for treating a few bumps!

Charles: No problem Mike. Where you heading now.

Mike: I'll explain when I get back ... say Hi to Sarah for me ... later Charles.

Mike quickly closes the chat window on the windshield HUD.

Charles: Like father, like son! He's up to something!

Sarah: Oh, it'll be nothing to worry about Dad.

Charles: Yeah, I hope so.


Meanwhile, in an office at the HQ of The Blackriver Corporation, three men have been
briefed on the situation about Mike's escape from the booby traps on Langdale Drive.

Welther Mulhare: Well, it seems Michael Knight The Second got away again.

Jonathan Zachary: Damn it! He's as slippery as his father was back in the 1980's!

Tebogo Kuna: Don't worry gentlemen, I have a device he won't go away from.

Zachary: Are you sure? The robotic sniper didn't kill him, the Range Rover SUV
rigged with cemtex and TNT didn't kill him. And that goddam car! It's just as
evasive as it's predecessor his father drove for FLAG!

Kuna: This device I am developing is deadly. It has facial recognition technology.
As soon as it recognises Knight Jnr, FLAG will arranging yet another funeral!

Mulhare: It'd better work. We're running out of options here.

Mike: KITT I just thought of something.
KITT: What is it Michael?
Mike: That gun. I think I saw something like it in Iraq. I think it was one of these private security companie...
KITT: Micheal whats wrong?
Mike: Ofcourse, it was blackriver who were developing a robotic sniper rifle. All they had to do was set it up and designate targets and it would fire.
KITT: Wasn't it blackriver who tried to steal prometheous in 2008?
Mike: Yes it was. KITT where are their headquaters?
KITT: They are approximatly 300 miles from here.
Mike: How long would it take us to get there?
KITT: At road speeds it would take 4 hours 27 mi...
Mike: KITT cut to the chase in attack mode
KITT: 1 hour 15 minutes
Mike: KITT switch to attack mode
KITT: switching to attack mode
(KITT's speed increases to 290Mph)

A favor, DJGM, could we chill w/ the saltier language? Try to think of this as being an episode on tv. God's
last name is not damn or dammit.

KITT: Michael, if you're going to go in after Welther Mulhare, might I suggest you utilize the new
identity alteration program, so as to prevent being discovered?

Mike: No, KITT, I want my face to be the last thing that blood-thirsty creep sees when I take
him down. I want him to remember that I'm the one who punched his ticket.

KITT: I'm merely suggesting the identity change so that you can develop a well-timed plan
of attack.

Mike: This is my attack plan, KITT. I want 'em to see me coming right at 'em.

[My_Friend_KITT]

Tebogo Kuna stood up slowly and strongly from the table and then leaned down onto the light oak table so as his palms were flat and his head was level with the rest of the group. "Listen carefully gentlmen, I am growing tired of the incompetentcy of my associates. It would be in your best interest to complete the job as soon as possible."

With an icy glare the would make Jack the Ripper shiver in his seat, Welther seethed, "And it would be in your best interest to not threaten me."

The son of Sombe Kuna stood upright while never taking his eyes off of Mr Mulhare and then suddenly burst into a joyful belly laugh that sounded almost identical to his beloved father, "I am glad that the rumors about you were not mistaken." He finally said and then turned around and walked out of the room leaving Mr Mulhare and Mr Zachary sitting alone in the dimly lit room.

[DJGM]

Mike: How far now KI3T?

KI3T: At our current speed, we should reach Blackriver Corporation HQ in 2.3 minutes.

Mike: Ok, use your new long range scanner to find him and see who he's with.

KI3T: Activating long range scanner.

Mike: What ya got KI3T?

KI3T: Please be patient Michael, this is going to take at least 5-10 seconds.

Mike: No problem KI3T. I can wait!

(After a few seconds . . . )

KI3T: An elevator has been summoned from the 17th floor of the building.

Mike: Can you identify who hit the elevator call button?

KI3T: It was Welther Mulhare, Michael.

Mike: Anyone with him?

KI3T: He is entering the elevator with Jonathan Zachary and Tebogo Kuna.

Mike: Ok, back to normal mode KI3T ... we're going in.

KI3T: Michael, the building has heavily armed security personnel both inside and outside.

Mike: We're still going in!

KI3T: May I remind you that you are not Niko Bellic, this is not a mission from GTA4,
nor do you have access to any cheats giving you infinite health or unlimited ammo!

Mike: KI3T, stop hacking my 360 while I'm playing! I'll get blacklisted off XBox Live!

KITT: Mike now is not the time to be making jokes.
(suddenly an alarm explodes into life as KITT smashes through the front gates of the compound)
Welther: What the hell was that?
Security guard: A black Mustang Just plowwed through the main gates.
Welther: It can't be. How does he know we tried to kill him

KITT: Mike watch out we are about to hit that...
(KITT smashes into a stack of crates)
KITT: stack of crates
Mike: Sorry KITT but I want this guy.
KITT: Getting your self killed is not the way to go about it.
Mike: KITT he almost killed me. He tried to steal you and he tried to kidnap Sarah. I am going to kill him one way or another...
He also killed my mother.
Welther: (over loud speaker) So michael Traceur we meet again.
Mike: This time where you are going there is no escape...

[Knight94]

Welther: Once again you're in way over your head, kid.

Mike: Have I gotta remind you that the last time we threw down, I busted your rocks? Then I almost turned ya into
scrambled eggs? This time I won't be anything like as nice about it. By the way, Welther, I owe you a bullet to the
chest, for my mom.

Welther: Yeah, kid, I remember. I owe you a busted set of rocks. You want to put a bullet in me, come up here
and give it your best shot.

Mike: Thanks for the invite, douche-bag. Me 'n my .45 will be glad to r.s.v.p.

KITT: If you go in there, Michael, you're playing into their hands. I say "their hands" because Welther is not
alone, and will have Tebogo Kuna and Jonathan Zachary waiting to ambush you.

Mike: Chill, KITT, I got this. I was in the Army Rangers, ya know.

[DJGM]

Knight94 ... for the love of God ... please quit with the stupid formatting of your posts!
You've been asked numerous times now, and you seem to have ignored each request.

Anyway ... I shall continue the story with much clearer formatting.

Mike: Do me a favour KI3T, disable the entire security system in this building, and use
your Thermal Expander to disable everyone's guns, except for mine and that scumbag's guns.

KI3T: Disabling security systems now ... Thermal Expander activated.

Mike: Thanks KI3T.

KI3T: You're welcome.

Mike gets out of the car as Welther Mulhare, Tebogo Kuna and Jonathan Zachary get out
of the elevator and walk towards the middle of the lobby area. As Mike approaches the
main entrance, the guards attempt to fire their weapons, only to find they suddenly
don't work. Mike takes his pistol out of his pocket and aims at Welther Mulhare.

As Mike prepares to shoot, a familiar voice breaks the uneasy silence.

Charles: Mike, don't do this! He's not worth it!

You need to cool your heels and cut out the antagonism.

Now, having looked through this thread, it would appear that the formatting of Knight94's posts is virtually identical to Luke Windstyle's, MustangFan91's, and your own. Given the similarities, I’m really not sure what you expect him to change, unless you’re planning to ask everyone to revert to the form of formatting that's used in novels?

Mike: Shutchyer face, Welther. I don't wanna hear another word outta yer mouth. I was an Army
Ranger. I've killed guys that'd put a bullet in you soon as they slapped eyes on ya.

Charles: I'm asking you not to, though, Mike. Let him pay another way.

Mike: There is no other way, Charles.

KITT: Michael, please listen to Dr. Graiman. Your purpose is to make a difference, to stop people like Welther,
not become like them.

Charles: KITT's right, Mike. You can't stop Welther if you become like him.

(mike shoots at the wall to welther's right side)
Charles: Mike please no
Mike: I just don't know what to do

Welther: You know what you want to do, kid, so go ahead. Put one right here, if you've got the stones. (points again to his chest) I know you can't do it, you haven't got the killer instinct. You're a boy scout, not a killer.

Charles: Don't listen to him, Mike. He's just baiting you, toying with your mind and emotions. You really are better than this.

Mike: AAAGGGHHH!! Stop it! I cannot take this.

Welther: Fine. You're too conflicted to kill me. Me, I don't have that kind of problem. I'll very happily kill you.(aims at Mike, ready to fire) Say "Adios", Mike Traceur.

suddenly, a gunshot is heard. Welther grunts as he is hit in the shoulder by a bullet. Camera then shows Sarah holding a handgun panting really hard

Charles(approaches Sarah, gently takes the gun): C'mon, honey. You don't need to be here. This is over.

Sarah: I didn't kill him. A part of me wanted to, ---

Charles: The better part of you didn't want to, Sarah. That part won out.

Mike(approaches Welther): I could plug you right here, you cold-blooded slime, but that's just too
easy. By the way, I'm not conflicted. I'm just better, cuz I actually have a conscience.

Welther(has hand on injured shoulder): Conscience is a weakness, kid. Useless. It separates the weak from
the strong. Keeps you from having the guts to do nasty things, things that would make a boy-scout like you
wet your pants and puke all over yourself. I have no use for a conscience. That's what makes me stronger than
you could ever imagine.
