Is anyone bringing a 2010 replica to KnightFest 2010?

Post by Shadowy Flight » Fri Mar 27, 2009 10:40 am

Does anyone remember the poor excuse for a Knight Rider spin off called Knight Rider 2010? The only commonality was the name and a talking car (Kitt had a sex change and was called Hannah). The car looked like a Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome type mess. Just wondering if anyone had a replica of it or planning to bring it. Just thought it would be funny for the 2010 event. Want to know how to make one? Simply torch any car and stick metal plates, pipes and rods randomly all over. Guaranteed to win Best in Show!

I actually liked the car, suitedt he film, but would've preferred if she had been painted all black, I think Hannah would've made a huge impact with viewers if she'd been that colour in those nighttime scenes at the end of the film.

However, if on the very rare off-chance anyone does bring a Hannah to a future Festival may a suggest you don't treat it as a "laugh" as you say, after all someone will have put a lot of time, effort and money into it.

Well, the car does (or did in October last year at any rate) still exist:

As far as I know it's at a junkyard at Pearsonville CA. It would be good if it could be resurrected for Knightfest 2010...

EDIT: Just found a picture taken on 18th March 2009 of it - it looks pretty complete:

That's pretty cool. I would buy it and fix it up.

Hocus pocus, your wish is my command. Wish I hadn't spent so much time doing all of the research, but I'd be glad to share it with anyone who would save the ugly beast.
