March 25th taken from tvbythenumbers.com

Time Net Show Viewers (Millons) 18-49 Rating/Share 18-34 Rating/Share
8:00
FOX American Idol 24.33 8.5/24 6.7/21
CBS Survivor: Tocantins (Clip Show) 8.15 2.3/6 1.2/4
ABC Scrubs 5.33 2.0/6 1.9/6
CW America’s Next Top Model 2.85 1.4/4 1.6/5
NBC The Chopping Block 2.60 0.9/2 0.7/2

If you go to tvbythenumbers.com it puts a smile on my face to see "Chopping Block" in last place, and that is 6th place since nbc lost to Univision for the 8-9pm slot.

Hey NBC Knight Rider doesn't look so bad now, and even tvbythenumbers i don't see any articles bashing Knight Rider now either.

So maybe our ratings weren't breaking records, who cares this should open there eyes.....hopefully.

Ozikool,
We're all marveling at the fact that since KR debuted in September last year, KR has been the single show thus far in that Wed. nite time slot that Chopping Block now has, with the highest ratings, including against American Idol.

What does CB have to do with KR? They're in the same time block, and comparing the ratings for both shows demonstrates the relative strength that KR had in drawing in ratings, and that it is likely a better investment for NBC to keep KR, with higher ratings, than CB, with dramatically lower ratings.

Now there IS the issue of cost. Someone said each ep. of KR costs around $4 Million. Anyone have any idea how much it costs to make an ep. of CB?

Wow, talk about a free fall. Idol is back on Wednesday and Chopping Block loses a big chunk of audience again. KR had more than double those ratings the last time it went up against Idol.

Lemme get this straight, KR's episode order was cut short so NBC could be in last place below even cW and Univision? Talk about anti-productive.

Now if only reality TV wasn't so damn cheap to produce....

Well, it's toast now. Chopping Block has been yanked, to be replaced by Law and Order: Criminal Intent repeats.

http://www.popeater.com/television/arti ... t%2F401152

Would have been better to just produce the additional eps of KR and finish out the season.

There has to be some serious heartburn at NBC about this. For all crap about KR's ratings, it's done better in that timeslot that anything else they've thrown at it. Here's hoping.

I hoping this isn't true about Knight Rider not returning.

NBC pulls Chopping Block from schedule
Posted on 26 March 2009 by Robert Seidman

I’d speculated this morning that based on Wednesday night’s performance Chopping Block couldn’t be long for the world. It wasn’t. From James Hibberd:

NBC is pulling cooking competition series “Chopping Block” from primetime after three weeks, sources say.
The network informed affiliates tonight the reality series starring renowned chef Marco Pierre White will be removed from Wednesday’s lineup.

NBC is fortunate to have Jay Leno’s 10 p.m. talk show in the fall considering how many slots are getting cleared out this season. Counting “Chopping Block,” six series are definitely not returning — “Knight Rider,” “My Own Worst Enemy,” “Crusoe,” “Lipstick Jungle” and “ER.” A couple midseason reality shows, “Superstars of Dance” and “Momma’s Boys,” are also almost certainly gone. Four others are looking pale and shaky — “Friday Night Lights,” “Kath & Kim,” “Life” and “Kings.”

Just for the heck of it, the USA Network releasing their fall lineup on March 31st might be of some interest as well. I doubt it, but you never know.

Imagine my irritation last night while watching "Supernatural" on ITV2 here in the UK when they start showing trailers for "Chopping Block"!

So they'll show that muck but not KR?

Last year they showed "Bionic Woman" when they knew it had been cancelled. I guess it's a matter of economics but even still...
