Wow. Loved it.

I thought it was great how it was spontaneous; Mike just "wanted to try something". I liked that KITT - not even knowing what was going to happen - just assumed it would be a bad idea. And in the world of Knight Rider, it made sense to me: what's the best way to get on a bridge crossing the street? Do a sideways flip on to it. Brilliant.

Normally I'm not a fan of going between normal and slow-motion and back, but I think it really worked here. And the CG effects were spot on.

Now regarding the scream: when I heard it, I thought it was Mike doing a kind of Dukes of Hazzard shout. But if it WAS KITT, I can only assume it was KITT's attempt at making a joke, by screaming in mid-air.

I'm a bit torn: I kind of wish they hadn't shown it in the previews because it would have blown me away if it was a complete surprise. But seeing the sneak peak of it DID get me excited about it all week. And I'm going to say the actual scene exceeded my expectations. I just really liked the way it was done.

Yeah it was really different from what we TOS fans would have expected from KR.
And that whole shot/scene just proves how far technology has come!
I mean, 20-some years ago, you couldn't have been able to see Ki2t go and do a sideways Turbo. I don't think that even the model work would have been believable.
So yeah, I kinda wish they kept it from us, but they did show just enough to make you go "huh!?" lol and hook you for next week.

So yeah all in all in was done well.

Luckily I didn't see the preview and it was a complete surprise to me. And boy did I love it. From KITT assuming that it would be a bad idea till the moment Mike said that KITT screamed like a girl it was funny and in my opinion very well executed.

That was just plain Great!

While technically it was an impressive piece of work; In story, it just seemed too much like something I would see in a matrix movie, or maybe a transformers movie.

Thank God Kitt didn't transform into Attack Mode in mid jump.

I would have much rather have seen Kitt boost over those SUV's, or spin around and boost over the chase vehicle. To me it seemed like the cheapest option for them to take.

I thought it was great. Different, but great. When they talked about 'our version of Turbo Boost' when the show started, this is what I was hoping for rather than Turbo's that are basically like TOS's, just looking far worse.

Not to mention it reminds me of the watching through TOS for the first time around in the 80s. You know, it hooks you in on weekly basis just to see what kind of awesomenes KITT pulls of this time

Totally loved it and laughed my butt off, really cool.

It was out of the ordinary and that was the point, and I liked it as well. Knowing the physics behind the turbo boosts help a lot as the flame launching helps to make it seem plausible (in the Knight Rider world, that is). I'll actually have to watch it again because I didn't really pay much attention to the scream, but it is pretty weird.

I too loved it!

When Mike said that KI3T screamed like a girl, my parents and I were all, what? KI3T screamed? We've gotta go back. So I wound it back and we watched it again, listening, and sure enough, there was his scream. We were rolling!

Couldn't agree more! That turbo boost was worth watching again...the same day!



Now, I wonder if KITT screamed because he was making a joke at how Mike didn't know what he was doing, or if he was actually afraid? O.o

I totally missed the scream part. Does anyone have a .wav file of kitts scream? I would like to listen to it.

The scream really seemed out of place but I must admit, it is pretty funny. The only problem I have is that it could imply that KI3T was afraid - when really, I don't think he would be. (Well, it's a possibility, but I doubt he'd be screaming even if he was terrified.) Although KI3T's general attitude in this episode was closer to KI2T in TOS episodes, the scream still felt a little awkward.

I would have liked it more if KI3T had said something before or after the scream.

Mike: "Kitt, Turbo Boost!"
KI3T: "Initiating terrified scream."
KI3T: *screams*

or...

Mike: "Kitt, you scream like a girl..."
KI3T: "Michael, I do not "scream". That was you."
Mike: "Kitt--"
KI3T: "I do not scream, Michael."
*camera cuts back and forth between Mike's smirk and KI3T's inactive voice orb staring at Mike*
Mike: "Alright! Alright."

See, I originally thought it was Mike making that sound, and he was just tryint to push it off on KITT.

At the time, I thought it was Justin. I will have to rewatch.

it was just weird to have KITT screaming. Funny but i would have rather have Mike Scream and then blame it on KITT as a joke. KITT is too sophisticated to scream.

Same here. That was where my mind went in the forst place. Time to go to hulu for a rewatch.

Yeah, just watched it, it does sound more like Justin than KI3T. Maybe Mike was trying to play it off....

Additionally, I didn't notice that KI3t said "not on a turn, Michael" before the boost.
