OK we talk about the ratings alot and I get involved as well however tvbythenumbers.com showed the DVR viewers for January and Knight Rider was on the list read this and see what you think...

If anything this is why NBC will renew, and shows KR is in the wrong timeslot however is getting pretty great viewership, and there isn't a single NBC program except Friday Night Lights with more DVR percentage of viewership..

This is pretty amazing, and this is the second month in a row that KR has done well...

I figure that if it was a bad as some people think KR is, they would have pulled the plug months ago, look at My own worst enemy. So for whatever reason, promotion, continuious fan base, cost etc. Its still around bottom line, and I figure this is one of the reasons, imagine KR being actually better then Friday Night Lights, and that survived at least two seasons, I don't think three however, but if NBC was doing well all around and KR was the torn in the side of the network it would have been dumped..

So here is to hoping we talk about it, we don't have concrete evidence of a second season but this makes KR look good... :kittconv:

Yeah, I would have figured NBC would have canceled the show by now if they don't think it's doing well, of course this doesn't still mean they will renew it but it is a step in the right direction. Now all they need to do is PROMOTE it....

I think they already know about promotion...There's only one episode left, and they probably don't want to ward away audiences if they're giving it a season two,but that's just me being optimistic.

What's even better is that we will likely get an announcement of the first season boxset soon. Universal has already announced "My Own Worst Enemy" on DVD and that one was mothballed some time ago. I suspect the future of the show would rest on DVD sales if they don't (or haven't decided to) cancel the show.

I partially agree with the DVD sales analogy. What I think Universal should promote is the first season of TOS and the KR08 first season as well. Just a thought but it can get new fans to connect with the original series and understand the connection between the two.

I think at this point of time, any news that give KR a push infornt of the NBC management is good. The Idea is to show them KR has a very big fan base and it will grow -as it can be shown from the increasing number of ratings since the reboot- if we keep going down the same theme GST is using now. which is TOS.
I strongly think NBC will come around and some one will note this. Image :kitt:
