KARR - the Knight Automated Roving Robot
In Knight to King's Pawn Billy calls KARR the Knight Automated Roving Robot.
So I guess the reverted their strange Exosceleton idea from the Halloween Epsiode. Which is great, because I think it was wrong to change the meaning of the abbreviation, especially since Knight Autocybernetic Roving Robotic Exoskeleton just sounds stupid.
So again hooray for the retooling
I just hope now I won't read KARRE anymore, because I hate that
(because Karre is german for barrow, and also means old, bad and ready for the junkyard cars )
I wondered that nobody mentioned it, so I just had to clarify this.

Re: KARR - the Knight Automated Roving Robot
On the episode Knight to King´s Pawn, KARR doesn´t mean Knight Autocybernetic Roving Robotic, it´s mean Knight Automated Roving Robot
Look when Billy is talking on the public phone and heard him.

Re: KARR - the Knight Automated Roving Robot
But doesn't anyone think it's beyond ridiculous to change continuity from only a few episodes back? Can't ANYTHING be consistent?! Knight Automated Roving Robot is the 1982 prototype. Knight Auto-cybernetic Roving Robotic-exoskeleton is the character from the new series as far as I'm concerned. It's really one of the most pathetic attempts at trying to confuse the viewer into thinking it's the same vehicle that I've ever seen. They should've left the new acronym they came up with from "Knight Of the Living Dead."

Re: KARR - the Knight Automated Roving Robot
Yeah it looks like they were trying to call him by his original name instead of the new updated name. Of course it creates a discontinuity that they need to explain in a later episode... if we get more episodes.
Re: KARR - the Knight Automated Roving Robot
It was either a line flub or a writing flub. Of course there is always the possibility that they changed it after all the bitching about the name. At any rate, it's over and done with. Time to move on.
Re: KARR - the Knight Automated Roving Robot
the name of the OTS is the one that should be used slways
Re: KARR - the Knight Automated Roving Robot
It's a pretty small change - Knight AutoCybernetic Roving Robot vs. Knight Automated Roving Robot. Chances are, they won't ever acknowledge it, since it's not exactly worthwhile to do so.

Re: KARR - the Knight Automated Roving Robot
Doesn't need to be changed, KARR is a robot now.
Re: KARR - the Knight Automated Roving Robot
Well actually, IIRC it was Knight Autocybernetic Roving Robot-exoskeleton. Which is kind of long-winded. A thought I had for a possible in-universe explanation is that perhaps the full names were changed deliberately by the NSA to differentiate the initial KARR from the modified post-KITT KARR with the new chip, and Billy heard them refer to KARR by the second name.lunchmeat wrote:It's a pretty small change - Knight AutoCybernetic Roving Robot vs. Knight Automated Roving Robot. Re: KARR - the Knight Automated Roving Robot
It was probably a writing flub since that episode was written and filmed well before we saw Knight of the Living Dead. Unless they reshot the scene or something...
KARR and KITT have always been robots.BlackKitt wrote:Doesn't need to be changed, KARR is a robot now.
The new and again improved evil's advertisement is currently too long and too badass to display here. But let's just say that with now 50% more evil, this **** is great!
