When we start campaigning NBC to Save KR

When the time comes to campaign for NBC to keep the show instead of cancel it. Which I believe we should start now really. A couple of points we should point out to them. We should mention the Feature Film is coming next year and the property will be very hot at that time, and that they will be kicking themselves for letting it go at that time. Plus we should emphasis how the show has changed direction and is improving BIG TIME. They wouldn't loose from at least giving it a final try with a 13 episode order for next year with their finger on the cancel button.

wasnt the film supposed to come out the last few years anyway?

I dont think we will have a true KR movie.

How can we campaign KR to NBC? 1st we need direct contact to the new President, then must send mass mailings, like thousands upon thousands, a few hundred wont do the trick.

As for online petition, i dont they do must but prove me wrong. :good:

Other than the show Jericho has any fan led campaign brought a show back from cancellation? Also, the feature film has been in development hell for some time now. I'm very skeptical that it'll make it on the big screen.

As for the feature film, Larson just completed a second draft of the script back in October. So we are getting much closer to it being reality now. I think it was Dave Doggett who mentioned that news over on Knight Registries back in October. No mention yet on whether the Weinstein company approved it yet, or if a third draft will be necesary.

Interesting. I didn't know that about Quantum Leap. There's no harm in doing a campaign but I've yet to see it produce positive results for the shows I've been interested in. Invisible Man on scifi, Moonlight on CBS, Now and Again on CBS, were all shows that got canceled way too early and none of the campaign efforts by fans helped.

The original 90210 was saved by a fan campaign as well. It was cancelled early on and saved.

Here's another factoid to add to the mix. It will require some research, though.

I read this page, and realized NBC has 3 entries under the "Live Action TV" subcategory.

Could someone here (I don't have access to such resources) look up the numbers on some of the shows referenced, and see how KR's numbers stack up against them? It could just be wishful thinking, but it could tell us if KR really is doing bad in NBC's eyes, or if there's enough fandom behind the show to merit their faith.

I already sent knight chess piece and a plead letter to Ben Silverman (and instructed by Gary Scott Thompson himself in KRO 'not cancelled video'). Feel free to do the same. You don't have to go as extreme as I did; I had no chess set, so I spent 20 EUR to buy one, just for the knight.
