Entertainment Weekly: KR is on "What to Watch" list

Post by Michael Pajaro » Sun Jan 11, 2009 8:25 pm

Yes, they're making a bit of a joke about the show, but the bottom line is that Entertainment Weekly lists Knight Rider as one of the "notable programs" to watch for the week.

"This sounds familiar: If KITT droves below a certain speed, then the car will be blown up by a bomb. I suppose we should all be happy he didn't transform into an ice cream truck driven by Cuba Gooding Jr."

Too bad it's not more "positive", but it's at least something for people to notice...which is what we need.

I agree. Seeing as how it routinely gets panned by TV Guide nearly every week, it's nice to see another entertainment mag suggesting that people watch it for a change, even with the joke in there.

Hey, at least this joke was decent. KITT transforming into an ice cream truck would HAVE to be a bizarre dream of Mike's. :)

At least it's promoting to watch:) I hope the show does make it to two. Sucks I'm going to miss it this week cause I'll be on the road, but that what the internet is for:)

KI3T would amke a good ice cream truck. He could go undercover. I can see Mike in the back. He could even make the ice cream.

I don't get the ice cream truck reference (must have missed that movie), but I thought the bomb concept was borrowing more from Speed than anything else...

Google "Chill Factor" for info on the reference. Better yet - save yourself some pain and don't.
