Reference To Michael Knight In Knight Fever

I was watching Knight Fever and I was wondering if anyone caught the reference to Michael Knight when Dr.Graiman is explaining that the virus can only kill people if they have a pacemaker, a steel hip or a metal plate in there head which the original Michael Knight had in his head.

You know what, when that line came up, i sat there scratching my head wondering, does tracer have a plate in his head??.... but now that you mentioned it, yes Micheal did have a metal plate in his head, I guess when his face was reconstructed. Man, I need to watch season 1 DVD....it's been a while.

There is also an old KITT v KARR reference, when Charles talk about a pacemaker, John's boss had a pacemaker in KITT vs. KARR

Guys there was no reference at all to the original Michael Knight! Mike Tracuer does have a metal plate in his head, it was pointed out in a earlier episode. Thats why Charles said it to him.

I never thought about the pacemaker and i'm pretty sure that the plate is a reference to MK Sr. I don't remember it saying that MK Jr. had one.

Yes the plate in the head thing is a reference Michael Knight Sr.
The very first episode states it....the only reason he survived that pointblank gunshot wound is because of the metal plate in his head.

That's like KR 101 type stuff..

Oh, i also noticed a nod to the original KI2T...by none other than KI3T.
After the whole KI3T killed Arrow thing, as they were driving back and they talked about regret, KI3T said "It was just a theory," kinda reminded me of KOTP when KI2T said "We're only human, It was just a thought."

Although I thinking im stretching it out to be one....hmm

Just curious guys & girls, the plate in the head reference....in KOTP.....didn't the doctor who reconstructed Michaels face say the plate was standard issue?? If so, wouldn't that be the case for Mike?

P.S. It's been a long while since I saw that ep......I could very be wrong. Just a thought though.

I just took the scene to mean that Graiman was rambling on about nothing in particular... But, it does bring up an interesting point- exactly what do the SSC crew know about Micheal Knight and KITT? Billy and Zoe know about KARR, so, it would be kind of interesting to see them mention the legacy, or some such...

They had to replace my metal plate with a plastic one. Every time Catherine would rev up the microwave, I'd piss my pants and forget who I was for about half an hour.



I was referring to metal detectors mainly but this works too even if it may not be exactly true.

When you watch the 1st series pilot, the surgeon tells WK that reason MK survived the shot to the face was
the metal plate in his head, more than likely put in when he was still ML, and was in the Army. I did kinda
wonder of course, if Mike also had a plate put in his head, maybe when he seemed to have disappeared.
Remember, he has some memory gaps, some things that happened he has no memory of. Charles did warn
Alex that Mike would eventually remember everything, and when he does, he'd be coming after Alex.

Mike would not have been sent on the mission if he had a metal plate in his head. Torres knew what was in the truck and knew that metal was vulnerable, as Charles later pointed out.

The metal plate storypoint was introduced in KOTP as a way of making the transition between ML and MK, including the surgery, which incidentally also changed the colour of his eyes, great work by the surgeons...

When I heard the reference, it immediately reminded me of MK but I did wonder whether Mike had a plate too. But then they sent him on the mission, so I guess that rules that out.
