He might be more known for Optimus Prime but he did KARR first! :P

Heh, someone is a Weezer fan...
But he introduced Voltron before he was KARR
Voltron came almost a year after Knight Rider.

Hey, does it really matter which character he voiced first? I'm just glad he voiced them, especially Optimus. :)

Voice Acting is Peter Cullen's profession. So I am glad we do not need to worry about some clause crap or anything in his Paramount contract regarding the transformers sequels. If KI3T does not have a "combat/robot" mode. I guess the only way to take KARR down would be....................turbo boost? But if I remember in the haloween episode KI3T says that KARR was more cyborg b4 he was decomissioned. So we might actually have some cybernetic organisms come into play!? If not I do not care but that could be an aweosme plot thickener for linking it to TOS. I already printed the photo of KARR and put it up.

Can't say I'm all that impressed. With KARR has a giant robot and KI3T being mostly useless in this series, I fear this "fight" will be too one-sided to be interesting.

I would not be surprised if the climax of the episode centered around car beating up KI3T and Mike having to use some "Anti-KARR" device to stop him.

There is a lot of different ways the writters can go with this. Which is awesome. I cannot wait to see what happens.

AWESOME!!! I mean KARR looks really like a big, bad robot... way beyond what i thought initially... GREAT! Also that "trailer" is PERFECT for a KR commercial... air that right now and be sure of ratings to go up up up! Great work guys! This is how it looks like when vfx people are having fun!

Anyone else here think that Karr reminds you of Robocop 2 a little?

Im not saying that in a negative way at all cause RC2 was quite imposing and scary and a totally psycho killing machine, just a small similarity?

Man I think KARR really needs a scanner in robot mode I mean KITTs scanner is always apparent in all the transformations he has used even the cop car ?!?! Its missing from the photos of KARR?! That red thing on his back needs to be yellow though. I hope it isn't synthesized to his voice a constant fading it and out like KI3T would suffice and make him more nostalgic to TOS :).

I think it's similar to RoboCop as well but without the stupid head. The head reminds me of the Terminator 3 flying droids.

BTW where is the audio for him? All I can find is the video that just plays that "We don't need no books" song?

Lets all be happy we didn't end up with this :).

Well it is really hard to tell what KARR does look like with the current footage we have seen as I believe it is all of his backside.

I kind of do how he turns out like Robocop 2, that would make for a believable yet evil character.

Everyone keeps complaining that transforming robots are not fit for Knight Rider but if we all watched the Robocop movies(in in some cases the miniseries) and had no issue with the robots in that, does this seem really that unbelievable so much later?

I would be psyched to see J5 back in action. I'm surprised there hasn't been a Short Circuit 3 yet. Considering the return of many 80's icon.

Looks awesome! This should be a really interesting fight. While I love the idea of KARR the "robot", I don't want KITT to transform into a robot as well. There are many more dramatic possibilities if he is just a well armed/defended car trying to take down the giant robot. I can imagine some awesome action scenes with that combination.

As for the concept of KARR becoming a robot, this may seem heretical to some, but as a kid (who was both a Star Wars and Transformers fan) in the 80's, it always struck me as odd that KARR stood for "Knight Automated Roving ROBOT" and yet he never had a bipedal robot form as I understood it at the time. I always wondered if KARR had a "robot mode" as a kid, and now he does so it's a bit of "coming full circle" for me. :)

Top marks there for working the word "bipedal" into a post!

I wonder if special FX and budget would have allowed, he COULD have been a transformer type character in the original series?

::sigh...

KARR...was a car...get it?

don't mind the robot part into the name...per Wiki:

A robot is an artificial agent. In practice, it is usually an electro-mechanical system which, by its appearance or movements, conveys a sense that it has intent or agency of its own. The word robot can refer to both physical robots and virtual software agents, but the latter are usually referred to as bots.[1] There is no consensus on which machines qualify as robots, but there is general agreement among experts and the public that robots tend to do some or all of the following: move around, operate a mechanical limb, sense and manipulate their environment, and exhibit intelligent behavior, especially behavior which mimics humans or other animals.

K.A.R.R. looks like Megatron & a Metal Gear combined together, that thing is really gonna "wreak some havoc" :karr:!!! I'm willing to bet that K.AR.R. might be a "tank" or a really enhanced killer Mustang. I'm looking forward to this episode.

I understand that. I was merely expressing how I used to feel as a kid, a bit of musing if you will. Is that not allowed?

I know what you mean Goldbug. I had the same thought as a kid as aswell. Robot just fires up thoughts of....well walking talking robots of which Saturday morning 80's TV had an abundance of!!

I did as a kid make a distinction that KITT was a computer first in a car and didn't trigger a thought that it was a robot, so when KARR appeared I did think it was odd that it had no "robotic" form.

I wonder how many non-KR fans define KITT or KARR as a robot???

This is gonna really stink horribly, KARR as a transformer?

What a Joke.
