It shows your support and will give you a higher geek rating and a friendlier response from other KRO members :).

Does anyone know if David Hasselhoff is still going to make it? His picture and attendance has been taken off the KRF website and I'm not getting replies from Paul's email.

In fairness - Paul did post about it a few days ago:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=14070" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Due to AGT scheduling conflicts, he's unable to at the moment. But ever give up hope...

Anyhow know how traffic is from SoCal to Las Vegas on Friday mornings/afternoons? Trying to decide if I should rent a car Friday morning when the car rental office opens or pay the extra $$$ and get the rental the night before, drive out to Vegas in the middle of the night when no one is on the road?

Thanks in advance!

Friday traffic into Vegas is typically terrible. There is construction on I15 which causes delays.
I'd plan to leave CA early.

Regarding the special guests attending. Will they be available for autographs/pictures?

Also as I've seen at some Sci-Fi conventions the guests are charging for their signatures, will this be the case at the fest?

Thanks Mike for the heads up! Just booked my car rental for an extra day, which isn't bad for $15! Planning 2 leave San Diego at midnight or 1am and make the drive EARLY to the Golden Nugget! Any idea on WiFi around Fremont Street? Hahaha!!

The reply I received in regards to autographs is up to the guests. My guess is they will take donations if anything. I went to a charity event for the Make A Wish foundation in LA a few years back, the theme was, believe it or not, Power Rangers. Almost every Ranger from all the series was in attendance, even the originals. We're talking about actors and actresses from Canada, New Zealand, Austaralia, and even London, all donating their time for a charity event! Their agreement w/ the event was that autographs were donations, no matter the amount. Some of them even provided 8x10's!

I highly doubt the guests will appear at a charity event and ask for some crazy amount of $$$$ for their signature.

Just wanted to know if all the guests or only some will be present at the VIP reception this Friday night?

Hey Mike,

I was wondering - is there any free wifi under the fremont experience canopy?

would help us plan our live coverage a bit.

I'm not sure if there is, but there is a Starbucks @ the Golden Nuggett, which is right on Fremont St. Maybe if you set up close to there you'd have access.

Can anyone already there see if Binions Pool is open this early in the season. My wife really wants to go swimming but if the pool isn't heated or covered at night it might be too chilly. So sorry KITT but I'm ready for some heat :).

Out here at Krispy Kreme on Fremont in Vegas! The stages are up for the Festival and one of them has the KR Festival banner while the other is rockin' the Shelby banner!!! Been here since 8:30am and just got lunch after relaxing @ the Golden Nugget room.

Where's everyone at? Pretty slow and chill Friday out here on Fremont! Hopefully I can cop a copy of the KR Companion sometime today or tonight!!!
