I hope it isn't too late to make this proposal for the script, but I like the idea of not only depicting KITT as a Microprocessor/EPROM Software based artificial intelligence like in the 80s, but as an update to say that KITT incorporates a government researched quantum processor, that enables him to have a personality.

Hi Victor,

We all know that this movie will be based on the pilot,” Knight of the Phoenix." with a darker story line. So with that in mind, here’s an idea.

1st: The car choice. Glen wants to use a newer car in his movie. So, the new KITT has to be stream line like the Trans Am was. Some would want the new Camaro as KITT. I see 2 problems with this. 1. Transformers already used the Camaro. 2. The Camaro is a great car but, KITT is the car of the future. The new Camaro is a 1969 retro. Michael Scheffe, the original KITT's designer, hinted that if he had to pick the car to be used in this film, the car choice would be the C6 Corvette. I second that. I see more of the original KITT in the Corvette than any other car that is on the market today. Here we go with the story. It's long.

She is the love of his life. When the movie begins it should focus on Michael Long's and Stephanie "Stevie" Mason's love for one another. Example, How they met. What Michael was like before they met. With White Bird playing in the back ground Michael asks Stevie to marry him. She loves Michael very much but, Michael is an undercover detective for the LAPD. Michael is about to leave for 6 months to work undercover in Las Vegas. She is concern for his safety and that she would be alone for long periods of time while he is gone. Michael told Stevie that he never loved anything as much as her. That this will be his last undercover mission. Stevie hugs Michael with overwhelmed joy and told Michael that she will marry him and become Mrs. Long.
The next day, Michael gets ready to leave for Las Vegas. As he was packing his stuff into his black Corvette- a gift from an unknown person with a note left inside the glove compartment,” I’ve been watching you Mr. Long."- Stevie regrets to see Michael go. "Promise me that you'll be safe and that you'll come back to me." “I wouldn't want it any other way." Michael kisses Stevie and said his goodbye. Michael's friend and partner James "Muntzy" Muntz rode shotgun as they headed to Las Vegas.

Pretty much everything remains the same to the pilot in Las Vegas. Michael is to work undercover to find out the people responsible of the industrial espionage of the Circus Circus Casino, C.C.C. Muntzy is shoot in the chest as Michael and the double crossing blond, Tanya Walker, chases after the people responsible for stealing items from the C.C.C. and the person that shot his friend. We all know what happens next.
Later that night, Michael's partners from the LAPD arrive at Stevie's home and tell Stevie that Michael had been shot and is no longer. "He promised me that he'll come back to me. This can't be happening. No! Michael! Michael!" Her cries echoed the night sky.

Put yourself in Michael's shoes. Someone tells you that you are now legally dead. When you look into a mirror, you see a stranger's face. Forget about Stevie. How would you feel? Well, Michael didn't like that either. “I’d rather be dead than to go on." Wilton reveals that he was the one watching Michael and that he sent the Corvette to him. “You want it back?" Wilton just smiled
It took a long time for Michael to recover. "I can't go on. I have no purpose any more. She's been taken away from me." Michael couldn't feel any lower when he met KITT for the first time. Devon," This is the Knight Industries Two Thousand." Michael," What the #$@* did you do to my car! Looks like Darth Vader's bathroom." When Michael drove KITT for the first time, he didn't think of Stevie or his suffering. He is amazed on what this car can do. Nothing can stop KITT. Michael now has the ultimate weapon on his side.
When Michael returns, Wilton was on his death bed. " One man can make a difference, Michael." When Wilton died, Michael's inner suffering returned. Michael drove KITT trying to keep his mind from racing. They drove back to Stevie's home. KITT tells Michael that there is a woman inside the house crying. "I need to hear." Stevie,"You promised me. I need you." Along those lines. Hearing Stevie suffering turned his suffering into rage. He is going after the people that did this to him and that he will find a way to kill them.
Long story short, the details are up to the writers. Michael finds Tanya and her team. He has them cornered. Tanya shoots at Michael but, the bullet bounced off the driver's side window and back at Tanya, killing her. "Tanya, no!" Michael yelled. After seeing this he remembers Wilton's one man can make a difference speech. He arrests Tanya's team and waited until the police arrived. He'll get Justice to what they've done to him.

Towards the end of the movie KITT tells Michael that he needs to go to the mobile unit for a diagnostic check. "Mobile Unit?" On the way there, Michael tells KITT about his emotions. "I've wanted revenge. That's all I thought about and now it's over. What is next for me? Can I go on as Michael Knight?" KITT not understanding emotions simply stated," Michael, what ever you decided on your own please understand that I like to think of you as a friend and that I will always be here for you." Michael looks down at the voice modulator and said," Thanks, buddy."
KITT then approached a black semi and he wasn't slowing down,"KITT, truck!" The doors opened and the ramp came down,"Welcome to the Foundation of Law and Government’s Mobile Unit, Michael." Michael was thinking how cool this is. He then hears a female's voice,"How are you doing KITT?" She then introduced herself to Michael,"Hi, I'm Bonnie." Michael thought he would never love again until he met Bonnie. It was love at first sight. He was speechless. Bonnie smiled as she walked away,"Just a nut behind the wheel." Michael Knight's life just became better.

Ending: A man that looks just like Michael with the exception of a mustache walks into Wilton's storage area. "What is the crazy old man hiding in here?" He sees signs reading "Danger. Keep Out." He finds a way to open the vault door. He then walks in and to his surprise he sees an amber light oscillated from side to side,” I’m the Knight Automated Roving Robot or KARR."
"I'm Garth Knight and I've just seen someone that insults my existence."

Isn't Victor banned from this boards?

Anyway, if the movie was made (I very much doubt it will imo) people on here will still complain how it's not like the original. The Hoff IS Michael Knight and always will be.

These are all great suggestions but at this point in time the motion picture ideas story direction has already been worked out, we're just hashing out details here. You could however use your ideas to write some inspiring fanfic.

When is the movie is due to be released??? all I hear are ideas

It's supposed to be out next year (2010). It will be interesting to see if they start any filming this summer. If not looks like another delay.

I guess all we have to do now is be patient with the movie...
