Perhaps we should play "Guess the Scene". A scene from KR was filmed at: 23740 Magic Mountain Parkway, Valencia, CA. Any guesses as to the episode and the scene?

Well, it's the L A County Santa Clarita Sheriff Station. Would it have been the Sheriff's station in the pilot? Just guessing. Don't have time right now to pull a frame grab.

Great guess Mark! That's where KITT ejects the two car thieves! It's also where KITT breaks Michael out of jail.

Here's another one for you, also from the Pilot. The final scene at the airport, where KITT is being towed. This is the Burbank Airport. Check it out:

See the hanger #'s 7 and 7A in the picture above? You can see them in the aerial view below:

OK Joe, Here's a challenge for you. See if you can get someone at the FAA to run a check on the "N" registration number and locate the whereabouts of the KNIGHT INDUSTRIES corporate jet.

That would be a challenge, Mark!

In the mean time, here's another one I just found:

3431 Waverly Drive, Los Angeles, CA

Hint: it was in 3 episodes of original series KR.

Joe,
The main one that comes to mind is "Chariot of Gold". The location is Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary retreat. Here's a link with photos...

Endless Summer, Mandy's shop In KITTvsKARR is located in Seal Beach main street. Here's a pic from net that show's "Clancy's bar" which you can see in the episode as well. Endless Summer is in the opposite side of the street than Clancy's bar, just a little further away from the beach.

Seal Beach was seen in two episode:
Season 2: White-Line Warriors
Season 3: KITT vs KARR

Endless Summer still exists today! (124 Main St., Seal Beach, CA, 90740).

In "White-Line Warriors", Michael investigated burglary at night (128 Main St.):

sorry for order of images in the previous post. I was trying to edit it and time expired.

In "White-Line Warriors", "The Main St. Art & Framing Co." Michael visited
is at 220 Main St.. Today it is a florist store. However, "Art and Framing"
still exist today, it moved to 214 Main St. You can see how much the same
'tree' (where KITT parked) grew up in 25 years!

correction in the previous post:
In "White-Line Warriors", Michael investigated burglary at night (near 228 Main St.) not 128 Maint St.

Here is another view near the Clancy's bar on Main St.

Does anyone have any idea what building this is? It's used as the hospital in "Race for Life". It appears to be located in a city. The sign, "City Center Hospital" doesn't bring up anything in Google:

Looking at the location of the sign, I think it may have actually been put there by the set dressers for the shot; it might not be a hospital at all. Unfortunately, I don't have any call sheets for "Race For Life" to identify the building, but I'll hazard a guess: the tower at the edge of the shot looks an awful lot like Universal's "Black Tower" (70 Universal Plaza), used in "K.I.T.T. The Cat" and "Voo Doo Knight".

Paul, you're amazing! I looked up that Black Tower building on Live Maps, scrolled left and look what I found:

Now I just need to identify what the building really is. Thanks!!!

I'm doing this from work so I don't have access to my photos (maybe Joe can help out here), but here are a few more locations for you:

GOLIATH:
- Caesar's Palace Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas. Garthe and Elizabeth stayed in the luxury Ann-Margret Suite.

A KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR, MOUTH OF THE SNAKE, KNIGHT AND KNERD, BURIAL GROUND:
- All filmed scenes at Bronson Canyon in the Hollywood Hills, most famously used as the entrance to the Batcave in the Adam West Batman series.

NOT A DROP TO DRINK, KNIGHT AND KNERD, KNIGHT OF A THOUSAND DEVILS:
- Filmed at Falls Lake on the Universal Backlot.

WHITE-LINE WARRIORS:
- The location where Michael goes to meet Ron and gets ambushed by Mace is Point Fermin Park.

KNIGHT OF THE JUGGERNAUT:
- K.I.T.T. was destroyed by the Juggernaut at 3rd & Santa Fe (as per the call sheets). If looking for it by map, it's E. 3rd St & S. Santa Fe Ave, Los Angeles, California. Hasn't changed all that much!
- The Foundry is located at Stagg St., Van Nuys.
- The showdown between K.I.T.T., the Juggernaut and the plane was filmed at Whiteman Airport, Van Nuys.

BROTHER'S KEEPER, KNIGHT RACER:
- Both filmed at Burton W. Chace Park, Marina del Rey. This is where Michael meets (and saves) Lisa Martinson in Keeper, and is saved from drowning by K.I.T.T. in Racer.

SKY KNIGHT:
- The drive-in was the Pickwick Drive-In located in Burbank, but it no longer exists (it's now a shopping mall).

Got plenty more, so stay tuned!

Wow, really nice finds there... Does anybody know the real world locations of the desert scenes in the opening/ closing sequences. There was the purple looking desert (filtered), then there was a few scenes where the camera pulls back and you see Kitt drivinf through the desert on a deserted highway. I think it's either Cal. or somewhere in AZ or NM. Looks ver familiar... :?:

I had always assumed it was the Bonneville salt flats were they used to race hot rods.

P.S. someone posted on Youtube a Mustang racing at the same spot. It came in handy for me when I recreated the old intro with a new twist.

The ending desert scene is my favorite:
"One man can make a difference Michael. Michael Knight,
a lone crusader in the dangerous world, the world of the Knight Rider."
Driving alone into the desert really signified the theme of Knight Rider.

I've always hope that someday, someone can recognize this place.
Potential location is the Mojave desert in CA. But it could be in NV or
in UT (near Bonneville Salt Flats) where they filmed the opening scene.
Because the desert ending scene appeared in the pilot episode, it
might be the case that both scenes were filmed around the same
area to save time and money (my guess)!

The key to finding the location of the season one ending desert scene may lie in those mountains in the background of the first picture...they appear snow covered...can anyone identify the mountains?
