Paul - to add to what you posted regarding the Beverly Garland Inn...it was also used in the beginning of "Hearts of Stone"!

Here's another driving scene location found...from "Just My Bill" and maybe a few others:

Image

See the building in the background? That's the "Race for Life" hospital (although not really a hospital).

This area has changed since the 80's, but I'm fairly certain that this scene has KITT turning right from Lankershim Blvd to Campo de Cahuenga Way, right in front of the Universal City entrance.

...and here's another one....Maggie Flynn's office and the location for the power bill vote at the end:

Los Angeles City Hall
200 N. Spring Street, Los Angeles, CA
Lat: 34° 3'14.42"N
Long: 118°14'36.41"W

Here's the brick patio on the front. Notice the statue in the background:

That statue can be seen here:

Some more:

And here's the aerial view:

The red arrow shows the parking garage where KITT goes in...the blue arrow is the entrance to city hall, seen in the above pics and the purple arrow is where KITT was parked.

Good call with the Hearts of Stone spot, Joe! Let's try to keep this going...

I have another Holiday Inn that appeared in an episode, and this one was slightly harder to verify as the surrounding blocks/vacant lots have all undergone redevelopments since it was filmed. Anyway, it's one of my personal favourites: the Holiday Inn located at 150 E. Angeleno Ave, Burbank. It's parking structure was the site where the Minotaur Bomb was hidden in Brother's Keeper.

I'll try to grab some screenshots to go with this and some of my earlier finds through the week!

Season 2: Blind Spot
Scene: chasing suspects

Cross streets: Van Nuys Blvd. and Foothill Blvd. near Freeway 210 & 118 (Sylmar, CA 91342)
Latitude: 34°16'51.26"N, Longitude: 118°24'6.56"W

Comments: This is an easy find. Van Nuys (very clear) and Foothill (less clear) can be spotted.

Knight Rider Archive wrote:The first two pictures are the Beverly Garland Holiday Inn, located at 4222 Vineland Avenue, North Hollywood. You may recognise it as the location used in "Speed Demons", where Roger Floyd talks to K.I.T.T., and more memorably, Devon reveals his motorcycle skills!

The third picture is an aerial view of the hotel complex from Google Maps; the text I added hasn't come out very well, but another episode was also filmed there: Custom K.I.T.T.! That episode used one of the side blocks, and almost the entire parking lot (round the back) when K.I.T.T. teaches the wannabe thieves a lesson they'll never forget. (Look closely during that sequence and you can see the nearby Universal Black Tower again!)
This is the same hotel appeared in Season 1, "Forget Me Not", where Michael was going after the assassin.

Let's try this one...

Adrienne's house from "Soul Survivor". I'm afraid there aren't too many clues as to where this one is - the biggest clue is that it appears the ocean is right behind this house...let the search begin!

I've found it! Sure of it!

The lots to the left and right of it have been redeveloped, which made this one a lot harder to find. Compare the rooftops of the house and the garage with the screencap. They definitely match, although the driveway has been repaved over the years. If you look at the very first establishing shot of the place in the episode, you can see the corner where the tennis court is located, which doesn't seem to have changed. Another two buildings are also visible looking past K.I.T.T. toward the ocean as Randy opens his door and puts him on remote control -- these appear to match the buildings two/three units away.

Looking past Michael and Devon as they enter the house, a white fence can be seen lining the opposite side of the road past the gate; there appears to be a fence in the same place on Google's Bird's Eye View.

The nitty-gritty: It's located on Birdview Avenue, between Zuma Beach County Park and Point Dume State Beach (where another Knight Rider villain lived -- Eduardo O'Brien in Mouth of the Snake).

BTW one_man, great finds! Nice spot with the Beverley Garland... I must be slipping! Seriously though, it goes to show how often they reused locations, and with different angles and sometimes set dressings how they could make them look completely different! This has to be one of the most fascinating threads to do with the original series in a long time, thanks guys -- keep it up!

Of course! The house with the ocean behind it! -How in the world did you do that Paul? As for wish lists, how bout we try to find all the turbo boost locations. I just went out and got a SLR digital camera so now hopefully my pics will start looking better than the screen grabs.

This thread should become a book or website or something. Till then, I’ll be keeping the photos of SHADO’s adventures here.

One of my favourite Knight Rider episodes was filmed around the intersection of Selby Avenue and Wilshire Blvd, and it was also the site of one of Knight Rider's most famous Turbo Boosts! (Unfortunately, only in miniature).

This was the location for Cameron Zachary's apartment in "A Good Knight's Work". The first image is the view looking down Selby towards Wilshire; the second is from the other side, and you can just about see the parking structure K.I.T.T. "jumped" from. (Note: Zachary's apartment was located on the 4th floor, Wilshire Corner).

Using Google's Street View I've just snapped another couple of shots -- the first is the apartment, the second is a view from the street of both the apartment building and the parking structure!

Up next is Gina's place from the same episode ("A Good Knight's Work"). Look carefully in the episode and you see that the adjacent used car lot is located on Lankershim Blvd -- not far from Universal Studios. Gina's apartment complex is just across the way, on Whipple Street.

It's changed a little in the last 25 years -- Gina's apartment building is hidden behind the trees, but from Street View you can see the entrance that features in the show. And it's nice to see Collins' Used Cars is still doing well! Honesty is the best policy!

P.S. Neil - should we make this thread a sticky?

Season 2: Brother's Keeper

This location was posted 4 years ago on:
viewtopic.php?t=4421
by KnightRyderX on Apr 23, 2004 9:31 am
"Brother's Keeper"-Alleyway near Buena Vista Blvd and Magnolia Ave (Burbank, CA)
where KITT and another car did a chase scene. Michael was after the "bad guys" who
were after Peter McCord. In that scene, KITT Turbo Boosts over a wall right behind a
GoodYear tire store (which is still there). To my surprise, the wall was only 3 FEET
high when I saw it in person...though watching it in the episode looked much taller.
Location:
Latitude: 34°10'15.09"N, Longitude: 118°20'21.22"W

Mt View Goodyear Tire Center
2901 W Magnolia Blvd
Burbank, CA 91505
(W Magnolia Blvd & N Catalina St.)

The lower left image (above) is from the scene where Michael and Peter Mcord
were searching for bomb in the city. This church is across the street
of the Goodyear tire. I 'saw' it when I turned around at the 'Goodyear'
location using Google street view! Here is the location:

Magnolia Park United Methodist Church
2828 West Magnolia Blvd. Burbank, California 91505

---
Now, let's visit another filming location in this episode.
by Knight Rider Archive on Jun 16, 2008 8:14 am on this thread
- Both filmed at Burton W. Chace Park, Marina del Rey. This is where Michael meets (and saves) Lisa Martinson in Keeper, and is saved from drowning by K.I.T.T. in Racer.
Location:
Latitude: 33°58'36.51"N, Longitude: 118°26'46.71"W

Burton W. Chace Co. Park in Marina del Rey

Finally, here is a familiar scene where Michael and Lisa
ran away from bad guys. This scene appeared in the
opening credit since Season 2. The bench is not there
today. You can see how much the 'thin' tree grew up in
25 years! There was a boathouse in the background after
passing the 'restroom' building on the righthand side :)

The shot was inside KITT with this church and I believe a 76 gas station where the empty lot (with trees) is in the second picture today. At the time I first watched it, I paused it, and you could see in the shot the street sign clearly read Lankershim. That sign would be the one you see here to the right of the church.

Next up: The Three Shells restaurant and pier from "Return To Cadiz"! You can see from the attached bird's eye shots that neither one has changed in the last 25 years. They're located on Paradise Cove, Santa Monica Bay, Malibu. The pier can be seen behind David in the "Starring David Hasselhoff" title shot in seasons 2 and 3 (filmed during the making of "Cadiz"). Sue... Keep SHADO away from the pier!

Paradise Cove was also the location where John finds K.A.R.R. in "K.I.T.T. Vs. K.A.R.R."
