Photosynth of the KITTCave
Photosynth is a pretty cool technology from Microsoft where by hundreds of images are taken of a 3D space and then overlayed together, allowing a user to view the images and walk around the space. This is different from a VR photo as the images are not stitched together seamlessly but rather revealed to the user in an amazing collage.
We were there on set in September when the team from Redmond took photos of the KITTCave or Satellite Surveillance Center. Finally Microsoft has released this amazing experience. Check it out!
It's currently PC only, but a Mac version is supposedly coming soon.

Pretty cool, I found the note the Bert guy mentioned.
The new and again improved evil's advertisement is currently too long and too badass to display here. But let's just say that with now 50% more evil, this **** is great!

I prefer the VR technology to be honest. It was a bit too much for my eyes to handle.

Re: Photosynth of the KITTCave
I went back to this on my Mac today and I got it to work! Turns out if you have silverlight plugin from microsoft installed, then you're all set! i'm pretty sure this is new to the site.
Also, there is a way to view this on your iPhone! Microsoft released their first iPhone app, called "Seadragon" which allows you to browse billion pixel catalogs such as the ones on Photosynth. Just download the app, and add the user "knightwriter" to your librarys using the plus button on the bottom right. The images wont be in the 3D experience, but rather a huge grid of 300+ images that you can zoom right into.
