Too bad the episode isn't in Philadelphia like the way the last episode ended. That would've been cool for me, lol. But the MI6 agent should be fun.

Judging by that trailer, it looks like the 4x4 KITT Truck transformation is being used again!

I ENJOYED this one

Post by GT500KR » Wed Oct 22, 2008 9:05 pm

I personally liked how the 4x4 mode wasnt a stock F-150 like in other episodes, I loved how the put the grille guard and roll bar with lights on. :good:

Driving scenes were awesome, liked how KITT had rockets.

Overall impression for the show

I'm really happy with this episode. Like "Hard Day's Knight" everything just came together very well. I was very happy to see Mike and KITT being the focus of the ep with Sarah and gang back at the SCC doing what they're supposed to do - support Mike but not take over his missions.

The interaction between KITT and Mike has definitely gone up a notch. KITT's developing sense of humor (dry as it is) and Mike's loyalty to him were expressed several times in the ep, and that's what we've been needing.

It was also fantastic to see a lot of practical driving and stunt work. Mike's dive onto the truck was excellent and worthy of the Knight Rider name. I felt a lot of genuine tension throughout the ep, and that too is a marked improvement.

In fact, I only have on minor nitpick, and it's one that has been present in all episodes so far. Why can't KITT open his doors by himself? I mean, it hardly ruins the episode for me, but every time Mike had to open the door I kept thinking that the illusion of KITT being a "real" functioning AI is partly sold by small details such as that. I recall KI2T opening his doors by himself many times, and it's something that not only shows the AI is "in the car", but also is an expression of the teamwork that he and Michael had. Still, I emphasize that this is minor and in no way severely impacted my enjoyment of the episode. :)

Whooo, just finished watching the new 'Knight Rider'. Right off the bat (and I mean in the first 5 min), we see the F150 KITT show up. I love the vehicle morphing, but I'd like it better if KITT shifted into vehicles of equal size. Nit-picky, but that's just my opinion. Anyway, I LOVED this episode! :good:  It may be my favorite one yet, in terms of just plain, good ole' fashioned fun. See Mike infiltrate rogue militia. See Mike get smacked around by sexy female militia member. Oooh, see Mike cut himself to retrieve his earpiece. I mean, I could see half the beats of the episode coming, but I just didn't care. And of course, something for all the haters to glom onto, Mike gets hottie militia babe (who's really one of the good guys) to disrobe because hypothermia kills, kids. It also leads the hero's love interest to develop ideas when watching it on satellite surveillance.

Seriously, my favorite part of this episode: Mike's line when confronting the militia members, "Oh man, you really shouldn't have said that", followed by KITT popping his 007-like missile launchers and taking out the Humvee. My only real quibble: if KITT's morphing has to be kept secret, wasn't it a big breach of protocol to do it so openly?? The 2 sub-plots were a lil' hit and miss. Sarah's birthday was interesting (how does one have a birthday when working for a clandestine quasi-governmental outfit like Knight Industries), but Billy getting beat (by both a bully and Zoe) was weak sauce. Just saying. In the end, where KITT plays Sarah the audio from the earlier surveillance and then Mike surprises her in the command center, gold. Pure, 100% cheesy gold. And why not? A little romance never hurts.

"Knight of the Hunter" ----> a solid 4 'Turbo Boosts' out of 5!!

Oh one more thing I wanted to mention, when KITT was changing his software chips do you think this has something to do with what happens to KITT "down the line"?

I liked it, a lot of fun.

And REALLY reminiscent of Inside Out (gold heist and all). Not a complaint though, I like the similarities.

And who else thought they were gonna play "Jump In My Car" at the end there? :)

great episode
the only problem had with it was KITT damaging himself. In the second episode we learn transformation in midair damage things. But here in mid-transformation without a warning goes flying. But the stupid part was that KITT suggested the transformation. Other than that good episode. I also agree with what goldbug says

KITT didn't plan on going "flying" here, KITT ran over a mine, apparently they were stealth landmines. So it was more transforming while getting hit with an explosion.
The new and again improved evil's advertisement is currently too long and too badass to display here. But let's just say that with now 50% more evil, this **** is great! :skar:

Hey! Krenigma from the VFX team. I'm glad everyone seems to like this episode! This was a big episode for us, KITT being thrown into the air, rocket launchers, all kinds of stuff (and some stuff you hopefully didn't even know were VFX :)

I always like to hear what people thought specifically of our work?

Top notch job on the fx where KITT was going through the mines then gets hit and goes spinning. It worked really well. I also loved the look inside KITT as he replaced a chip and the rocket launchers were awesome. :)
