Knight Rider 2008 series coming to iTunes!

I spotted this at work earlier only an hour or two after Apple's announcements today and was almost certain someone here would beat me to the punch on posting this but I guess not. Anyway, this is fantastic news and I absolutely cannot wait to be able to carry around new episodes on my iPhone and iPods as well as watching them in (hopefully) HD on my Apple TV. NBC and Apple couldn't have planned this timing better for Knight Rider fans if they had tried (or did they??). Here's the link to the article and an excerpt:

NBC Universal will offer one free download from each of its top series—in standard or HD—during the next two weeks. The premiere episodes of upcoming NBC shows, such as “Knight Rider ,” “My Own Worst Enemy” and “Kath & Kim” will also be made available on iTunes a week before their broadcast premieres later in September and October, with subsequent episodes available the day after broadcast.

If its going on iTunes then eventually each episode will become availible as people download it to their hard drives then go on to various file sharing platforms that are availible...

Of course im not suggesting we do anything illegal, just pointing out the inevitable...

Knowing iTunes, it'll probably be DRM'd to restrict that kind of thing. Though it's not like that's hard to defeat. Meh, I don't use iTunes.

i'm on itunes right now and i typed in Knight Rider in the search, and they dont have the new series yet but they have season 2 of the old series available

i just checked it out and they are missing episode 15 "White Line Warriors" which i really want because it skips a lot on my dvd, it has always done that since i got it when it was not scratched and the episode looks really cool. idk why it skips but if anybody else's does that or if anyone has a solution besides buying the whole season over again, please lemme know

No, the new Knight Rider series isn't available on iTunes yet, however as several people have already pointed out, the classic series has once again returned to being offered on iTunes. The new series will presumably show up on iTunes in just a matter of days though since NBC has said they will be making it available a week before broadcast and that's next week. My only hope is that it's one of the new HD sows you can download.

cajunknight0153 -- I'd contact Universal Home Entertainment about your defective disc. They would probably be more than happy to exchange it for you if you are willing to mail it in. Contact them and see what they say, I'm sure they'll help you out so that you can enjoy "White Line Warriors."

Is it necessary to have an ipod in order to dload the episode of knight rider to watch it or just i need the software to dload it?What will be the file format of the pilot episode?Will it be in a standard 350 mb size usually found on torrents or stuff?reply

If you've got iTunes installed, go to the iTunes Store when New KR becomes available and
browse the relevant categories for it. There'll be preview clips for free, but full episodes
available for download will be priced at $2.99 for HD versions and $1.99 for SD versions.

TV show downloads on iTunes are (as far as I'm aware) available in copy protected .mp4
file format. Not sure about the actual filesizes though ... it's been quite a while since I
downloaded anything from the iTunes Store. TV show episodes from NBC on iTunes
were never available to UK users like myself before NBC quit iTunes a while back,
and I doubt they'll ever become available now NBC is now back on iTunes.

as far as the NEW series I believe the first FULL episode will be free but after that they will cost $ but it aint that bad
