In update number five, we begin to get a sense that this car was designed with straight line speed in mind, as indicated by the deep dish dragster type wheels at the rear, with accordingly smaller tires at the front.

Well to be honest, the car is looking nice so far... but d*mn, what the hell is wrong with them giving it the most crappy wheels any car could have!!! That is pathetic... The black Shelby rims would have been much better. Really... this is rediculous... its like having a really nice painting painted with faecal matter instead of paint. Darn... but I like the car :good: .

Neither was I, just not the rear end I had in mind

Anyway....why...do...I...like this car. Its growing on me. Those side vents are very much in the SPM KITT of old :good:

The wheels still don't make much sense.

Sarfraz....seriously confused!

Thanks to Matt for helping. Justin and Deanna are gone now back to set (via helicopter cause they are shooting today!)

Got some great footage with Gary talking about the car. This isn't the super pursuit mode car, thats something else they haven't conceptualized. The KR logo stands for Knight Research - and the cobra is for that devision. He said the Knight logo still exists in the larger Knight Industries corporation.

More as I get it up! importing photos and video now

Thanks for clearing that up. I'm happy that the knight logo is not completely written out.

Im likeing it so far.

The air scoops on the side look very SPM to me and the front wheels look slightly like KI2Ts bowling ball wheel covers.

The 3 scoopes on the front I now have grown to like more they reminding me of a massive air ram system.

Also the silver bits are a nice touch.

Only one thing I dont like is the rear spoiler its far to big! That is unless it doubles as part of KITTs EBS.

Those wheels are typically seen on dragsters, which have almost certainly inspired this design, and because of that, it's starting to grow on me, because by looking at the profile of the car hunkered down to the ground, it really helps to sell that this thing could go hell for leather in a straight line. :good:

Its probably why I thought of a Hotwheels car when I saw the picture on the nbc site.

I can see your point Matt. The car does look like its going fast standing still, and not going to fall apart. However, the shows premise as tenuous as it is, would suggest they'd be able to design something alittle more elegant than those things. Its KITT a state of the art car, not a dragster.

Dude, you even got the ratio right! The ones of the left are for the front and the ones on the right are the rear wheels

It looks ok, better than I was expecting I guess. I don't like the huge spoiler and I think the rims suck. I'm sure it will look ok in action. I don't really think having an "attack mode" was even neccesary though. I never liked SPM personally, I thought it made kitt look pretty lame. I'll wait to see how it plays out on the show though.

Oh yeah, I totally see where you're coming from mate, I'm just digging that it seems to have been designed with a specific purpose in mind. If this is anything to go by, I really wouldn't be suprised if we see other vehicle modes pop up beyond the attack car as the series goes on.

Hmmmmmmm, i'm quite on the fence with the Attack KI3T, i kind of like it but at the same time i am disappointed. As its been said this KI3T looks like it truly has been geared for speed, intake valves, dragster wheels etc
Which to me makes it seem like it should be thought of as the new Super pursuit mode. However Neil points out is not, which indicates that could still be to come or wont happen at all. the latter being no problem at all considering this KI3T looks fast enough already.
One thing has struck me though, if this is the Attack KI3T shouldn't it look more geared to battle, more armoured or something, perhaps hints of weapons, abilties KI3T may have. When i look at this i feel it looks less protected than Hero KI3T
Another though that's just occured, since this mode seems to be geared for speed and and looks somehow a little lighter in places, i could easily imagine that KI3T may need to been in Attack mode foe this incarnations interpretation of Turbo Boost

As for the new logo being the research division logo i am glad that the old Knight logo will still appear but do wonder why a research division needs it's own seperate identity, surely thats the department you don't nessecarily want to draw attention to. (especially if you made one of the most desirable assets on the planet)

LOVE IT! :) I do love the look. Still not happy with the park bench spoiler but overall it's one mean looking ride!

Then again, I've always loved Mustangs.

Also glad that the Knight Logo isn't being replaced by the cobra (wanting to always spell it "kobra" now. LOL!)

I think it looks great, although I'm still a little on the fence about the induction design on the hood but overall an improvement over the pilot.
