Comic Con: KRO interviews

Post by Michael Pajaro » Thu Jul 24, 2008 7:46 pm

After the panel discussion at Comic Con, Neil and I were invited to join the press group for follow-up interviews back stage. We'll be posting the raw footage here as soon as our laptops finish crunching each segment.

Awesome interviews, guys. I'm afraid you're just a bit too Hollywood for us now, though.

Wow, Deanna looks great there, even with the evils of Youtube video quality, very likable too, just like the rest of the cast from what I can tell. I might even give Gary Scott Thompson a break.
The new and again improved evil's advertisement is currently too long and too badass to display here. But let's just say that with now 50% more evil, this **** is great! :skar:

Thanks so much guys! They all sound like class acts! My god Deanna is beautiful! It's a little hard to hear at some points though with the crowd in the background but we all can't thank you guys enought for the great coverage!

you seem to have quite a reputation! not only did the interviewed actors and producers recognize your name, but in your interviews they were much friendlier than in the others... what i mean is that seeing them with the other reporters at the panel was business as usual, your interviews on the other hand were way more personal and the cast and crew smiled and laughed more often.
really well done! can't thank you enough for your effort. it's highly appreciated!

I picked right up on that as well. It's especially noticeable with David Bartis since KRO caught him at the end of another interview.

Can't thank you guys enough for your excellent coverage!

That's the benefit of being of one the top results in Google searches. It's how I originally found this place, too. Only thing that concerns me even though it shouldn't is that the entire cast and crew browses this place from time to time, and sometimes the comments can get out of hand. They seem like nice people and I wouldn't want them to get offended.

To be fair, we as a community are not that bad. Okay, I've been negative about the attack mode but its been pretty light hearted. If you ever visit the Transformers board, you'll understand what I mean. They had fans literally hounding Micheal Bay's office, sending him hate mail and being very vocal (reading comments like "Bays raped my childhood" spring to mind!) about their dislike of the new TF film. We so far have just expressed our opinions (both negative and positive) in a more controlled manor.

I agree, reading the transcripts and watching the interviews, they all seem like genuinely nice people.

Anyway, like I haven't said this enough, well done guys for getting all these interviews.

Yeah, when I go on about "warning" GST or Harald Belker I wouldn't actually go up to them with a swift boot/knee to anywhere on their anatomy. Though I dunno if I could kept hat promise with Belker since he seems a bit full of himself from what I've read and seen. Aside from that, I think the vast majority of us are favorable of and like the cast. They seem like good, cool people and a little bit silly.

To be on record here. David Bartis said Harold Belker did the new car. Today GST said the designer was the same designer who designed the Smart Car. Now without time to research, I'm not sure if they are one in the same - so take that as a disclaimer.

But it does sound like conflicting reports.

While I was waiting for GST to sign my photo (which I got signed by Justin, Deanna, and Bruce Davidson the day before) I watched him give a detailed discussion to a HD camera, I am assuming it was NBC - for the website maybe? In said footage I distinctly heard him say that Belker did the new design as well. A little later a guy went up and asked GST the same question and again GST said the car was designed by Harold Belker. His answer included, "same guy who did the first one".

I believe it's safe to say based on that, they went back to him again for the updates. Some of it might have even been what Belker had originally came up with from the start (for the most part) that NBC and Ford passed on in the first place.

We've heard from Belker himself in interviews that the network didn't like his original ideas in which the mustang was further modified then it eventually ended up.

Yeah, Belker designed the Mercedes Smart Car.
