Why are so many people upset over this? People conveniently overlook the fact that KI3T can drive himself while in Attack Mode at those high speeds, which KITT was not able to do while in SPM. And with the series, there is always the potential for an upgrade to KI3T's engine.

I also seem to recall there were some people here comparing drag coefficients of the T/A vs. Mustang. Wouldn't that factor in to the top speed of a vehicle? I have a feeling if KI3T could match KITT's speed, many of the haters would be crying foul (since KI3T's drag coefficient isn't as good as KITT's)

If KI3T had KITT's MBS, all the haters would cry foul since in the KR mythology, only 3 people knew the formula for the MBS.

When we saw KITT's speedometer, you should remember he was in a built up area so he would not reach his top speed unless the area was deserted.

So all these comments about the new KITT not being as fast as the old one is a bit redundant.
