Do you think KIFT or new Kitt is better?I think KIFT was looking a lot better than this Ford Mustang.(if it was black,it would be even greater)And KIFT was looking like a car which came from feature.i was very disappointed when i saw KIFT,but i loved it's view but i didn't want it to be new Kitt cause i love 82 Pontiac Transam more. But now,the new Kitt,i don't want it to be new Kitt again but not only this,i don't like it's view too unlike KIFT.

This is a tricky one for me.

For many years I've said that part of KITT's charm was the fact that he looked like an "ordinary" car on the road. We saw Trans Ams every day and it was fun to think "some day I'LL own a Trans Am!". You can still say that about the Mustang, but not the Knight 4000. Within the storyline, the Knight 2000 looked normal in its surroundings. The Knight 3000 looks normal in its surroundings. I don't know if the Knight 4000 looks normal or not, since the movie took place "in the future" and within that fictional timeline I don't know what a typical car would look like.

I did really like the Knight 4000's heads-up display, and it sounds like the new Knight Rider series will get some heads-up effects which is a much-needed element to spice up the bland interior.

The Knight 3000 has a much better scanner.
The Knight 4000 has a much better voice.
The 3000 has a better voice modulator, but that is saying very little.
I think the 3000 is a better crime-fighting vehicle; the 4000 MIGHT win out on style, I'm not sure.

I'm being wishy-washy. I like the IDEA of the Knight 4000, but we hardly saw it in action. I was more excited about the car seeing the photo of it in TV Guide than I was after seeing the movie.

I guess I'm not willing to commit one way or the other just yet.

Knight Industries Three Thousand. I really, really did not like the KR2000 movie for many reasons and did not like the red tomato on wheels.

3000 all the way for me,I really hated the car they used for KR2000.I guess it might not have been too bad if they had a better story.

From what I've seen so far ( as much as all of you ), the K3000 has more potential ( "morphing  " aside ) than K4000.

KIFT just makes me laugh because the "Pontiac Banshee" wasn't a Pontiac at all...it was a Dodge Stealth gussied up to LOOK like the Banshee concept.

So I'm for the KI3T, simply because he's more ... real, I suppose. (Even though I kinda like the morphing. :shifty: )

3000 wins out by a long shot - but not because I didn't like KIFT. I just think KIFT doesn't fit the "car you'd see every day on the street" concept. I see four or five Mustangs a day - I definitely don't see some super sleek "Banshee-lite" concept every day!

I would have to go with the Knight 3000. It kept the traditional black color (which every Knight vehicle should be, in my opinion), and I do believe it has a better-looking scanner, although its placement had to grow on me. But, the Knight 4000 has a more visually appealing dashboard; however, I think exterior looks win out in this case. The Knight 4000 was overly curvacious while the Knight 3000 was overly blocky. A happy medium would've been perfect, but the black color helps the Knight 3000 tremendously in terms of looks. And in terms of abilities, the nanotechnology by itself already seems more advanced than the hydroplaning Knight 4000. The Virtual Reality Mode looked cool, but I question how useful it really was.

As for some peoples' complaints that the Knight 4000 looked too concept car-ish, I'd agree with them back in 1991. But since the 4th generation Trans Ams were introduced, the design is really not so out of the ordinary on the streets. In fact, it's actually now even obsolete since 2002. Any red Trans Am from '93-'97 (without the Ram Air package) is pretty much the modern Knight 4000 in my eyes.
