There is some heart in it

So i finally watched the show. I am a Knight Rider purist so I had to struggle to keep an open mind. Well, it was not perfect and it needs some work but, you know, I kinda liked KR 2008. There is some heart buried under this new Ford commercial. I loved Grayman house and all the weird living robotic things. They gave me the idea of a modern genius, master of artificial intelligence and all the stuff. The little spider robot with the KITT-like scanner was a wonderful reference to the old series, it made me feel that the writers wanted to show us the very roots of the KR universe.
As fof the new KITT, I still don't like the Mustang nor the new scanner but I can live with that. K3TT sounded too serious but this is understandable as the partnership with Mike has yet to develop. There are two or three lines that reminded me the original series (Mike calling KITT "buddy" and telling him to "shut up"). We need more of this funny, light moments but having a hint of them in the pilot makes me think that the writers know what to do.
In the end, the show could have been worse. There is some heart in it and I hope that the new series will show us some true Knight Rider moments (and more stunts!)

I really liked the "buddy" and "shut up" moments in it too.

I too agree that there is gonna have to be some fine tuning when it goes to series.
