yes i did like it, and also, i tried finding the topic talking about like all the mess ups or goofs ups or glitches or w/e u wanna call them, so ima just mention it here, i noticed one at the end, when mike and kitt are coming out of the plane and doing a 180, he starts of doing a forward one when u see him from the front, and then it shows the back of him and he's doing a reverse 180: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Te1KSY3hgE

Oh I think KITT knew exactly what he was doing. He did just navigate out of a car accident with his GPS, satellite, etc. He knew he would make it. Sarah wasn’t quite so sure.

And yes KITT blowing past the truck driver was my favorite scene too… Love the new intro. … Still waiting on a download for that music…

For the most part, I did not like it. I'll give points I liked and didn't like.
Liked
1. It tied into the original series better than I expected.
2. The car looks great, despite changing to a Ford. It had some neat features.
3. David Hasselhoff made an appearance as Michael Knight.

DID NOT LIKE
1. Bad acting for most of the cast, but the old series had a lot of that too, so I expected this.
2. Where were the crazy stunts? Turbo boost? I know Ford may not want to mess up their beautiful car right away, but now we have CGI. Do us a favor and spend some more money on some computer animators. We know great car wreck scenes are possible with CGI(example:Matrix Reloaded- highway scene). As a kid, I didn't watch Knight Rider for the acting, I wanted to see what crazy thing Kitt was going to go over or through any given week.
3. Storyline was fairly weak. For an action show, not much effort was spent on the element of surprise, or building suspense.
4. Gay references and Mike in bed with two girls. This is seemingly unnecessary and as a parent I have to agree with previous comments about the old series being morally tame enough for my kids to watch, but not the new one. It's almost as if the gay references are tokens in TV series anymore.
5. Kitt has very little personality. The old Kitt would make comical comments to MIchael Knight and had a little attitude. Val Kilmer's Kitt seemed to be very flat.

I will, however, give the series a chance to see if it improves, because I'm a big Knight Rider fan and want to see it do well, and hope the show gets better from here on out.

Knight-Armen,
What are you trying to imply about my name? Is this the first time you've ever seen a person with a strange spelling in their screen name? Do you think I don't know how to spell Eduardo?

EXCUSE ME?! Are you from this planet? I was merely saying that I agree with you!

How the frack does that imply with your name?

As Kitt would have put it - Misconception my CPU!

Ok, I'm sorry, I apologize. I just didn't understand what you meant, and I haven't read all your other posts so that I would know your opinion or anything. Again, I'm sorry.

I have to say that I loved the movie and the Mustang for the new kitt was a good choice. I really hope it's made into a series. :D

Good point about the lack of suspense. Guess they were more interested in introducing the characters.

And, yes. That new Kitt had all the personality of a GPS unit, at times. I trust this is a product of an AI that is just born...and will be getting a personality built along the progression of the first few episodes. After all, I don't want to think of hearing "Mike. Turn right in three hundred feet." as a KR catch line!

good to see knight rider back again, :D i watched knight rider when i was 5 years old and i'm still watching the old series and i have all the episodes, i really dont know the "team knight rider" which came earlier is one of your productions,so sad to say, it was horrible  ,the new movie, i watched it over 10 times now and i think its great to know that FLAG built only two kit's ,which makes the earlier kit great and to continue from where it stoped. :kitt:

overall the movie is good, great cast and good to see hoff in it, except for the theme song which is killing the whole concept of knight rider, its true that it is 2008 and should change the way how it sounds but i think it should'nt sound like this  better if they could remake the theme music by using new drum tones and leave the funk guitar lines the way it was. (sad to say the new music sucks)

I strongly disagree! I actually thought that the theme music was the only thing they did right! When the Mustang drives past that truck in the beginning and the theme song sets off, you can't put a price on that!!!

I'm with Knight-Armen, I thought they did a good job on that theme music. :)

Indeed they did! It's a new version of the old one from the 80's. In other words, a new song with a touch of the past...

I've only just seen it and I was sorry not to see Kitt (original). Personally I would have liked to have see Michael drive off in Kitt with just the Knight licence plate showing thus giving the idea that maybe - just maybe - our original Knight Rider was still out there and still fighting the good fight.

I found the fact the car could do all those things a trifle off-putting to be honest and detracting from the magic of the original. Val KIlmer's voice was surprisingly great but reminded me of Kitt's original sound in the first episode of KR. The Kitt voice that we all know and love wasn't instant but evolved over the series. I think Val started off well. Justin is kinda cute and should make a very good crusader although the scene with him in bed with two girls smacked more of Playboy Hugh than anything else.

LIke the others I think it should make a good series but I hope they remember the most crucial point - KR was successful because of the stories and they did try and ground it in reality. If the car gets too fanciful and the storylines too implausible then the resultant flop should surprise nobody (except probably the studio executives!)

I look forward to the series - that is assuming that us on the other side of the world get to see them....

I liked the film, and I did get used to the part that the new KITT is a Ford Mustang.Although there needs to be a couple improvements. Some better writers, and some acting lessons, maybe? I could write a long review, but I don't have the time for that.

There were things I liked about the new Knight Rider and things that I didn't. But overall I have to say it was quite good. Though I have a really hard time getting used to KITT being a Mustang. Yes, Mustang is a good looking car, but it's no Trans Am. But it was expected that they wouldn't use an old car due to sponsorship since I doubt GM would've paid them anything for showing a 2002 Trans Am. Still, would've been cool if the producers took a 4th Gen Trans Am and ignore the sponsorship money. But maybe they didn't have guts to do what they wanted (or what alot of fans expected I'm sure) and use a TA. *sight*

Other than that, I was pleased to see David Hasselhoff making an appearance and somewhat disappointed to see KITT just drive - no stunts like turbo boosting or skiing. I hope David Hasselhoff will be in the new series playing the part of Devon Miles. Think about it, Michael retired from the field and took a deskjob at the same foundation. Would also explain why he didn't go to his wife and son after retiring.

I liked the creativity gone into making such a good movie. They thought outside and in the box. They even thought of ways to get Michael Knight into it. although I would like to know just what Michael is doing these days to keep him away from his family...hum...*Pause for effect :D*

Hi guys, alot of you may not remember me but I used to post on here a fair bit. Due to the past year I have fought cancer and have not been able to do much of anything in the ways of surfing the net and such. Tonight is the first time I have been back online in a long while. And you cannot believe how excited I was when only a few moments ago I found out about the new Knight Rider movie. I have already watched the trailer and I am hoping like hell it will be shown here in Australia. I cannot believe so much has happened since my absence. Last time I was here we were talking about the possibilty of the movie. And in the time I was gone one was made. Though it was a tv movie affair, it still doesnt matter, cause its KNIGHT RIDER :D . I am beyond words right now, my favourite show has been revamped and from what I have read on here, I am so glad it doesnt refer to the dismal KR 2000 and TKR. I am glad to be back on here, and I hope I get the chance to see the movie soon that way I can contribute on here.

I am sorry for rambling, I am just so excited lol.

i loved it

it was awsome movie ?

but on the new show they have to fill in voids what happened to Devon even thought he died in knight rider 2000 that is set in the future a tad bit from now that car was knight industries four thousand and knight rider 2008 is the knight industries three thousand and where is the kitt we know of is it sitting an not being used during this show ,but in knight rider 2000 it is in pieces" future again" i thought i saw it in pieces on the knight rider 2008 movie in the garage they could still use him . and how do they fit in team knight rider in this to and where is all those cars sitting and not being used by flagg and sky one they could use that instead of the c-130 at the end of the movie. And i don't like the transformers effect they are going to far and they are almost coping the show NBC use to have was VIPER it transformed and how long did that last it wont work they should left it like the movie and the attack kitt looks so fake the blower looks like a bunch of tubes and docent look like a normal blower on a race car today like a nhra funny car type blower and to much plastic ground effects and the fin looks bad. they should left it alone and keep it the normal car looked better and the computer looked better in the movie .

that's my opinions i hope people see it my way
