I do like the sound of the motor, definitely. It's got my vote on that. I'm still not sold on it's looks, but I do like Mustangs. I still can't get past the hubcaps. To me they need to tone down that part of it. And I noticed the scanner too. They need to recalibrate it or something to make it a little faster.

I still can't believe they let Jay do all that in the Attack Mode car. But regardless, that was fun to watch, and I love VK's voice.
Flyer Guy: "You really a talking car?"
KITT: "No. I'm a tight end for the Chicago Bears!"

Jay Leno is hardly any tom, dick or harry. I don't think NBCU is worried about lending a $50,000 car to person who has millions upon millions of dollars. He has a huge car collection with cars that are worth a 100 times more then the "attack" KITT.

Jay Leno owns around 500 vehicles, and drives a new one to The Tonight Show each day. This was the one he drove to work the particular day I visited the show as a guest in the audience:

The black Mercedes that can barely be seen in the background belongs to Maria Menounos (ran into her walking to her car), who sometimes hosts Entertainment Tonight and had a part in the direct-to-DVD movie Kickin' It Old Skool, where the Hoff and K.I.T.T. make a cameo appearance.

(EDIT: Sorry, kept trying to shrink the pic, but it keeps appearing huge on my computer.)

Very very cool. Thanks for the post. 8)

But don't think I didn't hear his swipe on the Trans Am. :x
"One of things different from the old Knight Rider...this is a Mustang, this is a fast car."
Michael: "KITT! Where are ya?!"
K.I.T.T.: "I'm in your parking space, Michael, where else would I be?"

Well I remember in the commentary to the pilot on the DVD sets that Larson did say they had to do work to the Trans Am to make it go as fast as they wanted it to.

I'm LOVING the voice!! Val Kilmer should've been involved from the word go! And I want one of those Mustangs baby!!
