Yes because Knight Rider has never had any direct or indirect connection to Playboy in the past and Michael was a abstinent and didn't "hook up" with anyone.

Yeaaaaah what exactly does character development and plot/story lines have to do with the association of sponsorship? I can see a show like Nip/Tuck having a launch party at the playboy mansion (like they have in the past) but that show markets to that "mature" audience. Classic Knight Rider seemed to be aimed more towards a younger audience. Just seems distasteful and distracting to me for a "continuation in heart the original", but hey I guess marketing Knight Rider to 16-30 year old virgins like yourself phoenixZERO works. Go NBCU and GO FORD RIDER!

msken I think you are taking it out of context. This is a L.A. radio station doing this promotion. Are you saying mature adults can't enjoy Knight Rider. This is The Adam Carolla Show and if you know Adam(the man show) He will take anything manly and make something of it. Hey if Dukes of hazzard was coming back to tv he would make a party of it. To Adam and most men there's nothing better than a pair of slick wheels and gorgeous women. I'm sure Michael Knight wouldn't mind a party at the mansion ....like the show never profiled Michael was a womanizer oh ok. As far as Ford rider that's your opinion your entitled to it.

Personally, I encourage everyone NOT to enter. Don't even click the link. I want the site to get as little publicity as possible.

(The fewer people who enter, the better MY chances are for winning!)

I wasn't going to say anything but then I remember that I've not above responding to garbage like this.

Well, nice to see that you had to resort to immature personal attacks, so if I'm a 16-30 year old virgin I guess that makes you what? 12 year old who after watching an episode of Oprah on "morality" has decided to become a a "crusader" for decency? MissKen you need to loosen up! This is a promotion done by a radio station and hosted by Adam Corolla for people over the age of 18. Knight Rider was not a children's show, it was a show for ALL AGES from 2 to 200 and all the children who grew up with it when it original aired and even many who watched it in syndication in the late 80s to early 90s are grown up. I must have missed the part where women in certain episodes wearing just swimsuits or the "babe of the week" or Rebbecca Holden being hired to replace the "less sexy" Patricia McPherson were related to character development and plot/story lines. This isn't 20-25 years ago, times have changed and Playboy is no longer a big "taboo" and hasn't been in years, it's every part of Americana as almost everything else in American culture. If this was something like Hustler THEN there'd be an issue and I'd completely agree. I don't even want to know where you'd go to see it if that were the case.

I don't give a crap about a radio station using a trip to the Playboy mansion as part of promoting it, granted this is more going to attract people (mainly straight males) who actually want to go to the mansion in a hope to see a bunch of half naked women (and they'll probably end up sorely disappointed) than just see the TV movie that may or may not suck, for people who may actually be Knight Rider fans, it's a nice extra though again they're probably going to be disappointed when naked or nearly naked women aren't hanging around or swinging from a chandelier in the middle of an orgy. Then again being 12, as the age indicated by the level of maturity in your last post, maybe you still think girls are "icky". Don't worry, someday hopefully soon you too will have an interest in the opposite sex or maybe not.

Oh and Ford Rider, real creative... If I hadn't been calling it that for over a month here and else where. Go back to kneeling at your altar/1:1 scale replica of Glen Larson's pant less lap.

Errr...I'd take a shot at going to the Playboy Mansion any day of the week regardless of seeing half-naked women or not. It's a contest, and probably an all-expense-paid vacation, and even a chance to hang around with a few celebrities. Having some sexy ladies strolling around certainly doesn't hurt, too. :)

msKen and PHOENIXZERO - Please do not continue this further. Personal attacks at each other are not welcome. I don't care who started it (rules.php#f00)

I would say Michael deserves it, I doubt they will be paying for flights, and he's the only one in the area. It will probably be up to the winner to make arrangements.

I won't and was going to go and clean that up a bit but by the time I decided to, my 15 minutes were up. I guess I could have PMed about it, oh well.

Oh and yay! Forums are back up, I meant to reply an hour so ago but they died until about now.

I guess that one went out the window. Looks like classic Knight Rider had ties with playboy in the form of guest appearances by playmates. Thanks for posting that mike.

Well to be fair... the original series WAS targeted to a pretty young audience. Yes, they did have a playmate as a guest star but the script was still pretty innocent. I just posted the ad to be fun, not as any kind of "evidence" about the original show.

Well tonights the night of the launch party...

It says there is a 4 hour live broadcast but it doesnt have the actors listed as guests on the broadcast. But if its a live broadcast from the event, it would make sense that there would be a conversation with at least one of the actors....right?

And does anyone know the time the broadcast starts at? It says 4 hours but no time.
