knight rider online

Beinging in February, we will be starting our exclusive coverage of
the new Knight Rider airing on NBC on a regular basis. We've been
busy interviewing several members of the cast and crew - finding out
about their love of Knight Rider, the filming process of this series
and their hope for the future.

This is the first time Michael Pajaro, Joe Huth and myself will be
working together for the common good - and we're really excited by it.
It will see not only this project as a team effort - but it will also
see the launch of a completely new endevour by the three of us.

I've already interviewed David Bartis and Sydney Tamiia Poitier, and
we have several more lined up for the next week.

This is really the first time in the history of Knight Rider that the
internet will play a huge part in it's success. We're are seeing NBC
reach out to this community - because they understand that it's
important to keep the fans of the old series happy as well as bringing
in new ones. After 12 years, now more than ever I'm very proud to be
part of the Knight Rider community.

I look forward in continuing the shadowy flight with you!

It is great news you three are working together. I am looking forward to your countdown and hopefully further reports if the pilot will be turned into a series.

It's cool they're reaching out and if you guys interview producers or writers or anyone above the actors I hope they're not fluff interviews at least when it comes to writer/producer/director interviews. A good interview NEEDS some hard questions fancentric questions, especially with some choices made I think are a must. Hopefully a happy medium can be found since I know you can't go too hard unless you want to make them feel uncomfortable and annoyed. Just be careful with how you guys go about this.

Can i just ask, and dont take this in a bad way, but if one of you three thinks the show sucks will you say so?
I guess what I am asking is..will you remain unbiased and impartial in what you write?

It's just that i'm a member on a board that has regular visits from a certain band member ( it's a beach boys group ) and the moment you say something that might not be in favour of the band..then your name is mud.

Oh don't worry if the movie sucks you will get an earful from the group. Hopefully Universal has learned their lesson from their past fiasco's.

Congratulations guys!! Looks like I came back after a few years away just in time It's fantastic news that the guys and girls behind the new show have recognised the site and the fan community the original show has! And I for one cannot wait to see what you have in store for us here in KRO.

The only thing is, I probably won't come on to the site on or after the 17th, as I don't want the movie spoiled for me and I don't know when we'll get to see it here in the UK

Your not the only Phil. May I make a suggestion to the moderators. Have a spoiler-specific discussions thread for this show. That way, everyone else who is waiting to see it can know which thread to avoid?

DrWho2005 & PHOENIXZERO - When it comes time to review the show - we will do our best to give an accurate view from a fans perspective. I'm trying to remain open (while encouraging everyone else as well) until we see the actual film - cause we don't know what will happen until then. Once it does air - I think we should all be free to speak openly about the pluses and negatives of the movie, just as we do for Knight Rider, KR2k, KR2010, and TKR. If there are issues - I will post about them.

All non US members: We will do our best to hide spoilers. What do you suggest we do? Maybe we require all NBC discussion to only exist in the NBC forum - and not allow it in general discussion? Additionally we could ask people to put (potential spoilers within) or something noting not to read the message.

Hey Neil, that's exactly what I was thinking. Something as simple as "spoiler within" should work. My only concern then would be how long can we keep it that way? Abit of long-term planning might be needed if the pilot turns into a show (ie keep all episode threads within the NBC KR section of KRO).

I'm sure this problem occurs on other boards for current shows.....wonder how they deal with it????

That's good, I just don't want to see NBC trying to pressure you guys into not saying anything bad, at the risk of their blacklisting KRO or whatever.


As for spoilers, first and foremost, yeah it might be good to make people just post KR08 related topics in the right forum and IF they have to post in the general at least have a ***SPOILER*** tag in their subject along with what show it may be spoiling. Also, does this forum have an option to add spoiler tags? That was people could place whatever they're writing into it and it would be hidden unless the topic reader clicked on the spoiler.

Something like OMG! I can't believe it's not butter!1!1!.


But of course if the code was functional everything within it would be hidden unless someone clicked on the word "hidden" or "spoiler" to make it show up.

The spoiler tag is a good idea - i'll see if I can get something setup.

NBC didn't make me sign anything or agree to any tone. They only asked me not to post the interviews until closer to the release date, to help generate buzz - but even that was merely a suggestion, that im going to do out of courtesy.

It will be hard to keep the spoiler tags up, specially since many people outside the US are going to see it pretty quickly thanks to frowned upon methods. We'll just have to be diligent - as both moderators and users.

If as a user you see something that can potentially be spoiled, you can always use the "warning" button on the post - and that will alert Michael and I to do something.

Hehehe, true but there are still those who won't see it the way I think you're implying. Whether it's because of their internet access and speed or just because they choose not to go that route.
